Yuffie kept close to the wall, footsteps swift and near silent. Her flashlight felt awkward and bulky in her left hand. It'd be totally useless to her until she hit the File Room, since she had absolutely no intention of turning it on unless she had to.
The darkness was as comforting as it was nerve-wracking. After that… After that

No sign of others out here either. It was quiet so far. No sign of monsters either. Treading carefully, Hime headed down the hall towards the main junction.

Anise peered cautiously from behind the door before moving forward, but she couldn't actually see anything. Nothing was probably better than seeing Sync's face right away, though. Even though it meant Dahlia wasn't there, either.
The girl took a few steps into the hall, looked and listened to see if anyone else was there, then turned back to the door she came through. If Dahlia wasn't there yet, she had to be back in the girls' block. If she went back, Anise could still intercept her there, give her some line like "the meeting place changed," and get her someplace safe.

And that was when an arm suddenly snaked its way around hers, pulling her away from the door and closer to her captor.
"Hey Anise," Sync greeted the Guardian, offering her a wide smile despite the fact that it was still quite dark.
"It's good to see you're early."

She really should have known better than to get her hopes up. The girl whipped her head around, meeting the God-General's smile with a glare. Was she doomed? Now that Sync had her, he probably wasn't going to let her out of his sight. Anise was frustrated, but she didn't want to make Sync think he'd won, so she quickly found something else to lash out at him over, just to get some of that anger out.
"Can't you ever greet a girl like a normal person would!? You're such a creep!" she snapped angrily, pulling her arm back in an effort to get it out of his grip.

"What are you talking about," He asked amusedly, quirking an eyebrow. "I thought this was what you wanted."
However, the God-General sighed, almost as if Anise was inconveniencing him in some way. He glanced up at the ceiling for a moment before looking back down at her with a worried expression, voice taking up a lighter, softer tone identical to a certain Fon Master's.
"Or would you prefer it if I talked like this...?"

They say prolonged exposure to extreme situations dulls the senses, but Klavier wasn't feeling any less anxious than he had when first leaving his room. In fact, he felt worse the further he went. His attempts at keeping himself calm weren't going very well, less so when there was no one around to keep pretenses up for.
Despite the fact that the corridor was plenty wide and thoroughly empty, the dark was giving him a heightened sensation of claustrophobia and isolation. He quickened his pace as he went down the hall. The sooner he got to his destination, the quicker his dread could hopefully subside. ...At least for a little while, perhaps.

Almost there now. Lockon headed for the rooms where he knew Allelujah to be now--once he was there, he was sure, the two of them could go pick up Setsuna and Feldt, and they'd figure something out.

While the hallways might have been frightening and mysterious for some patients, Sakura didn't seem bothered. She exercised the recommended amount of caution(and maybe a pinch more), but this wasn't unlike many other missions. Skulking around in the dark was like second nature to a ninja.
