As he scurried through the corridor, the boy started to notice something was off.
"Where are all the monsters?" Raz wondered aloud. Everyone else was stressing the fact that this was a terrifying place crawling with giant snakes and zombies, but none were to be seen so far.
But then again, that was... probably a good thing.

Huh. Porky was actually one of the first people out of his room. That was odd...mainly because Porky was very lazy. Well, no matter. Porky had people to see and things to do, and standing around idly thinking about the laziness of the other patients wasn't on his to-do list.

Hand still trailing along the wall, Badou paused to flick his flashlight on before he moved to the next hall. He'd have to think about switching the batteries out--
Cold. He whipped his hand away from the wall, turning at the same moment to find...nothing but a wall. But he could have sworn he felt - and saw - a length of exposed piping just a moment ago. Probably just nerves, he figured, rubbing his fingers together. They weren't cold. He shook his head and blew some smoke into his palms before pointing the beam down the empty hallway and heading out.

The meeting place was the west side of the main hallway, directly south of the patient blocks. It was possible that Hitsugaya and the others were already waiting for him, particularly if their rooms were closer to the meeting place than his, so Faize walked at a brisk pace as he exited the block.

So far, Lockon hadn't run into any terrible monsters. He still kept himself ready, just in case, his flashlight-free hand occasionally going to his potential thrown weapons--makeshift plastic darts in one pocket, disposable pens in another.
But he made his way to the end of the hall without incident.

Like most things in Kibitoshin's life (luck, ability and peace, to name a few), his optimism was fantastically short-lived. In just a few short steps he'd almost been reduced to a shivering wreck. True, he'd managed to make it to their meeting place without dying horribly, but it was one corridor away. What kind of a record was that?!
... hah. It was pretty dark out here, huh? Even with a flashlight he couldn't see further than a few feet ahead of him. He was completely alone. When you put it that way, this place was kind of spooky. Really spooky. Really, really, really spooky.
Hopping from foot to foot in anxious anticipation, Kibitoshin bit down on his lower lip and prayed that Sechs would arrive soon.

Restless over what he had experienced so far this evening, Sechs swung his axe up to rest it upon his shoulder; he wanted it ready to plow down on any attackers at a moment's notice, plus carrying such a weapon boosted his hurting ego.
Upon arriving in the hallway, Sechs paused for a moment to scan the area with his flashlight. Some people were already scuttling through the darkness towards their own goals. A tiny spark of guilt left Sechs hoping that Kibitoshin hadn't been waiting out here by himself for too long.
Yet it didn't take long for the beam of light to rest upon a head of long white hair. From where Sechs stood, he could practically feel the nervous energy emanating from the anxious man. Sechs couldn't help but roll his eyes with a gruff sigh at the sight. How did he get himself into this? Well, it was too late to cancel his offer to help Kibitoshin so he would just have to make the best of it. Sechs could only hope that his comrade for the evening wasn't ( ... )

"S-Sechs! There you are! Thank goodness, I was just-" His voice trailed off as he finally caught Sech's expression. Immediately forgetting that he had ever been nervous or relieved at all, his brow knitted with cocnern. "Are you okay?"
'Are you okay?' What kind of a question is that? he scolded himself silently. He lost a friend last night! How could he possibly be okay? It didn't feel right, Sechs looking so... troubled, for want of a better word. He was supposed to be the brave, confident one here. Kibitoshin bit his lip, trying to rescue the situation from himself with a little more tact. "I mean, you don't have to say ( ... )

Yet the way Kibitoshin nearly tossed his shelf a good foot in the air when spooked pretty much confirmed Sechs' thoughts on Kibitoshin's nearly hopeless chances of defending himself here. Hoo boy... Sechs would just have to bear with him for now. No way in hell was Sechs going to knowingly leave Kibitoshin to be taken advantage of by this sickening place like what happened to Armand and untold amounts of other captives here... As long as Kibitoshin didn't clutch on Sechs' arm and squeal like Elf and Zwölf, he might be able to tolerate his company for the night.
Lowering his flashlight down to waist level, Sechs' face grew darkened as he blinked at Kibitoshin's question. "Okay?!" Okay as anyone who had ( ... )
