It must still be early yet, Edgeworth thought as he moved down the hallway. It was unusual to see this particular stretch of hallway so vacant, and that made him uneasy. The voice responded in kind, rumbling a low warning as he moved from this hallway and to the next.

Still no sign of activity. Hitsugaya wasn't bothered by the silence, but he did wonder what the other patients were up to.

He turned and exited through the door into the long hallway that led outdoors, turning automatically toward the south. He hadn't seen many people yet, though for a moment he thought he recognized Hitsugaya. Armand decided his eyes must be playing tricks on him, because Hitsugaya was dead.
He pushed on through the door.
