[from here]The hallways were dead -- 3am last call has come and gone dead dead, not just an early, foggy night. Not even a mouse. Scratch that -- he didn't want to think about what the local mice looked like

After opening the door, she let it slowly creak open ever wider as she continued on her way. Different atmosphere, but the same hallways. The only difference was that once again, the area gave off the impression of being deserted.
Not so. She’d seen the mob of prisoners. Yomi just had to be an early bird…
Guess that put her in danger if she were going to be the first to put her foot down on untried ground while brainwashed people and spectres hid in the shadows where she couldn’t see them. Smiling to herself, Yomi kept up her pace and made her way towards the nurse’s station.
And no one was in this hall. According to her map (which she paused to check), this was one of the main hallways leading to the cells. If the night was still as early as she suspected, however, she wasn't surprised that there were so few people. Tracking her flashlight across the adjacent wall, Franziska frowned at the general decayed appearance the Institute had taken on in the few moments between dinner and the onset of the 'night.' Was this some sort of illusion? Or...?
Reaching out, she touched the wall and quickly wiped her hands on her pants. Disgusting. It was like someone had coated the place with a different appearance altogether. Health violations were another thing to tack onto the growing list of Martin Landel's offenses.
Moving onward, Franziska wished she had her whip now. Or Rude to go first in case something really was waiting out there to eat them all.
It was too quiet here, and Misa was more nervous than she cared to admit. Her silent mantra of 'this is a scary movie. I'm acting in a scary movie.' wasn't really working as well as she'd like it to. She waved her flashlight beam from side to side, hoping for a familiar face in the darkness. She'd take just about anyone she knew right now, really.
[Don't confuse him with that-- I mean...hi, cutie, I didn't see you from this far back.]
He finally arrived at the source of where some of the other people were coming from. There'd even been a woman or two coming from this way, he thought. So he rounded the corner and headed on down this hall, looking for anything that might indicate where the women's rooms, and Shirogane's, were.
Of course, he wasn't paying attention and ended up running smack into someone who, god only knew why, was just standing there. He was about to tell them to watch where they were going when he noticed that it was a young woman. She looked pretty lost and, well...pretty cute, too. About college-age. While Shirogane might be a good target to get Hanamura's attention, it might be good to have more than one, right? Besides, she looked like the kind of kid who'd buy that he was a nice guy.
"Oh, uh...sorry about that. Are you okay? I didn't hurt you, did I?"
"Ow!" Misa called out when she felt that bump, but then turned to see a familiar face. She nodded and smiled at the detective, rubbing at her arm a little as she did. A name briefly flashed above his head, but she ignored it. It wasn't like her eyes worked right anyway around here, and besides, that was something she couldn't tell anyone about.
"Sorry about that, Matsu! Misa-Misa was just trying to get her bearings. It's really confusing around here at night, and it changed just like you said it would. It's scary," she said, frowning just a little.
For half a second, Misa questioned why Matsu would be around at all, then remembered the conversation from that morning. Well, that was really sweet of him to watch out for her like that. "Though I feel a lot better knowing someone that I know is nearby. It's a lot better to be with a friend in a scary situation, right?"
I'd rather have Light. But it's okay. A friend of his is still good.
Matsu? Had she mistaken him for someone? And what did she mean, it had changed, just like this person had said it would?
"Oh, sorry. Looks like you've got the wrong person. My name's Adachi, not Matsu," he admitted, giving her a half-smile. "But, uh...you can still come with me, if you want. Can't have a girl like you being scared and all now, can we?" Maybe she'd actually agree to it, and wouldn't reject him like those other two bitches had.
I'm off to see my girlfriend, the most wonderful girlfriend there is! Because, because, because, because, because! Because of the smokin' hot babe she is!
Junpei couldn't remember where he'd heard that tune before.
There were others roaming around. He supposed he shouldn't have been too surprised. It was a bit creepy in a way, even though he knew they were all in the same position he was. Well, perhaps not quite the same position - they might have a better idea of what they were actually doing.
Yousuke saw a couple girls now, and he could only try out the first hall on the left and see if it was the right one.
