Recluse had used his uneventful dinner as time to hammer out and sharpen a new blade for Scourge, and do maintenance on the rest of his own weapons, then changing into his black Arachnos officer's uniform, ready for the night. Then, it had simply been a matter of waiting, impatiently as always, for the doors to unlock

He bid his friend farewell before heading out the door, cord in hand.

Two beds- doesn't look like a hotel. White walls, sanitary smell- hospital? He felt his chest and arms oddly, looking over himself. I don't feel hurt. As he looked tried to look over his shoulder to his back, he noticed a journal sitting on the edge of the desk. It wasn't the journal itself that caught his eye so much as the note on the front:
LEONARD, READ THIS
My writing. He picked up the journal and thumbed through the first few pages, reading over the writings quickly. An institution. Great. And my camera is gone. He continued flipping through the notebook, finding maps with scribbles and markings of various locations. At least it seems I've found someone to help me get ( ... )

The incident in the showers that afternoon and Kaito’s antics during dinner were put to the back of his mind given what had transpired on the bulletin board and all it’d revealed. So some nice bystander had wanted to tip him off about a bounty hunter coming to kill him that evening, hm? A hired hand. It was amusing to the predatory side every vampire possessed, enough so that dinner was spent eating mechanically while the concept kept him entertained. A mere bounty hunter, sent to kill him? Out of all of the trials Landel’s Institute set in front of him, threats made by fellow prisoners were the least of his concern, even if the person on the other end of that exchange was the employer, or the bounty hunter, or even if there were three of them and they all were, for whatever reason, looking to harm him. He wasn’t worried ( ... )

There was a dull hunger gnawing at the pit of his stomach, a basic physiological reaction to not having eaten anything all day, but Sasuke still couldn't find anything but revulsion at the idea of food. There was nothing less appealing than the idea of groping around for sustenance.
Sasuke retrieved his sword the moment the door unlocked, wondered for just a moment where Itachi had managed to acquire a kunai, and pushed the thought out of mind. He couldn't think of Itachi as anything more than a concept for now, when the reality of him still didn't really make sense.
Vaguely acknowledging his roommate's farewell, Sasuke headed down the hall as well, moving as speedily as he could.

Once Yuffie and Yukari had headed off, Mori grabbed his new closet rod staff and went to Mitsukuni's room. The walk was something he was accustomed to by now, so it didn't take long at all before he arrived at the usual door.
Only to see that Mitsukuni wasn't there.
A moment of panic hit him as he thought of all the places that Mitsukuni might be if not waiting for him at the room. What if he'd been taken for those sleep studies? Or had gone off with someone else? Or-- Wait. Moving closer to the door, Mori listened carefully and then knocked on the door. He thought he'd heard someone inside.

Honey'd had an enjoyable meal, or more accurately, an enjoyable dessert. Sai seemed in a good mood and there was cake to be had, little as it might be. He rubbed tired eyes and busied himself getting ready for night to start. First they had to find Hika-chan and then the three of them could work together. It would be a nice change and he didn't mind so much that it meant less cake as long as his friends were safe.
He was kind of surprised when he heard a knock on the door. The intercoms had gone off a little while ago, so Takashi must've moved fast. Or maybe it was one of Sai's friends? He padded over to the door and smiled up when Takashi was waiting for him. Cake had put him in a good mood and he planned on keeping it.
"I'm ready! Sorry, did you have to wait?" he asked, stepping out into the hall with Usa-chan in one arm and his flashlight in the other.

Oh good, he was just in time. Hikaru spotted his friends at the end of the hallway and jogged over to them, but his hunched shoulders and glum expression didn't exactly exude friendliness.
"Hey."

And then he sensed someone coming. Straightening, he looked down the hall and caught sight of a rather gloomy looking Hikaru coming toward them. Kaoru had mentioned he was resting, and Mori knew the other twin wasn't doing well, so perhaps that would account for Hikaru's sour mood. Nodding to Hikaru, Mori moved over to make more room for him and wondered if the boy would tell them what was wrong.
