Climbing the same stairwell they had taken the night before, Sora was glad to see they were greeted with the same hallway. There wouldn't have been any reason for it to have changed, but with Landel's one could never be sure. It was encouraging to know that he was starting to get a concrete idea of how the institute was laid out. There were still quite a few blanks in his mental map, but that was why they were doing this.

"So were we going to try heading to the left or go further right?" If they had already decided this, he hadn't heard about it. He didn't know what either way would present to them, so he had no preference about where they went.

There was always the chance that one way would lead to a large fight of some kind, but that was always a possibility, so he didn't know how it would factor into their final decision. He trusted one of the others to make the decision, though.

Renji came up quickly behind him. Injured or not, it certainly didn't slow his feet. "Right," he said. The door to the hallway they'd check out the night before was dimly visible ahead. "We'll see how far this goes. There's the one from last night." Taking up the lead again, he started heading in that direction, moving them as fast as he could while still remaining quiet. He was on edge, listening for any sound that didn't belong to their little group.

He moved them across the hall, to follow the wall that the door was on. If there was going to be another hall or room, it'd probably be on that side.

Still marching in a guarding position of the group, Ichigo lingered at the crossroads for a moment longer, his head stuck on a swivel between their destination and their trail. No surprises tonight, thank you; Kurosaki wouldn't allow anything to approach and attack without at least a light warning for his group and himself.

Once he was satisfied, Ichigo finished his glances and followed quickly after the rest of them.

"If there are any rooms to check, I'll stay back and keep watch." he offered, keeping his voice hushed.

Nowe gave a grateful smile over his shoulder at the orange-haired man. It seemed Renji had been right about Kurosaki. The guy seemed trustworthy, and he was strong enough that he had confidence in his ability to keep watch, when there was the potential threat of a huge monster running around. The ex-Knight couldn't help but wonder if Kurosaki had ever cracked a smile in his life. His brow seemed consistently furrowed.

Still... a guy that was willing to put himself between them and the threat of a huge monster was pretty chivalrous. Nowe again despaired over the fact that he couldn't do that anymore. Not without a weapon, his magic, his friends, or Legna. But no, he had none of the above, and felt so powerless. Those thoughts, however, only steeled his determination. He had to find what this damn place had done with all his possessions.
