"So were we going to try heading to the left or go further right?" If they had already decided this, he hadn't heard about it. He didn't know what either way would present to them, so he had no preference about where they went.
There was always the chance that one way would lead to a large fight of some kind, but that was always a possibility, so he didn't know how it would factor into their final decision. He trusted one of the others to make the decision, though.

He moved them across the hall, to follow the wall that the door was on. If there was going to be another hall or room, it'd probably be on that side.

Still... a guy that was willing to put himself between them and the threat of a huge monster was pretty chivalrous. Nowe again despaired over the fact that he couldn't do that anymore. Not without a weapon, his magic, his friends, or Legna. But no, he had none of the above, and felt so powerless. Those thoughts, however, only steeled his determination. He had to find what this damn place had done with all his possessions.
