Spider shone his flashlight on the room numbers as he walked past them. 120, 110, 100. Christ, Sangamon had some nerve, being in farthest fuckin' room from him. Ah, there it was. M90. Spider turned down the last hallway, grinning. This was going to be a night to remember.

The combined force of darkness and speed made it difficult to notice much of his surroundings, but Nigredo paid no mind. This was a place he'd seen a few times at daylight; there was really no need to stop and observe.

He continued on, pausing only to open the door into the next area.

The silence that met Sync in the following hallway was a welcoming one, his movements quick and smooth while he continued along his way. After casting a quick glance behind him the God-General pushed at the next door before slipping through into the next hall.

Daphne was probably waiting for him, and she didn't seem like the type to wait long. How much time had he lost from the drugs? They were still making his head spin, but he could function...just not at peak.

One more hallway. Mostly empty this time, but for a woman and...

Tanaka did a double take at what looked like a castle wall that had been baked wrong and decided to go sentient. His first impulse was to charge it, but he immediately stopped himself when he realized that the woman didn't seem to be in distress. Apparently they... knew each other? From before? How in land and heaven did that walking mudflat fit in to the Institute's daytime charade? Had they only taken his old form when the sun was up, to melt back down when the burning orb had set? Wasn't there a legend that went something like that?

The Shofixti was still moving - albiet more slowly than usual - as he gaped at the being, and eventually shook off his amazement enough to get going again. He'd just have to contact it tomorrow over the bulletin board, to see if it really was one of the walking statues of legend.

And find some way to distract the Spathi from it long enough to get past, but that went without saying.

"What about you?" Ronixis asked casually as they stepped out into the hallway, checking both ways to make sure there were no monsters waiting. Hopefully they'd be heard, although he doubted that they'd all be polite enough to make noise.

"Earth?" Daniel was surprised, although the mention that he was from the future made it slightly less confusing. The technology of the institute was consistent with technology from Daniel's time, though his trip to the future of Earth had been very brief he was quite sure it wouldn't look like this.

Not four hundred centuries in the future and with all the advances that would have made their way out of the Stargate program at that time. "I'm from Earth too, but I'm from the year 2002," While Daniel had used knowledge from the future to Earth's advantage in the past, alternate dimensions had been involved. Plus the odds of Ronixis knowing enough of Earth's future within the next two years, enough to make a difference, was probably unlikely.

He was extremely curious about what the Earth would look like in the next 400 years. Of course, Daniel had woken up in the future before only to find out that it had all been a Goa'uld trick.

Ronixis nodded in response, although it might have been difficult to see in the darkness. "Yes, Earth," he agreed easily. "Although I probably spend more time in space than I do on Earth at the moment," he added with a touch of amusement. He liked his job though, loved seeing new planets and cultures that could be so different to those on Earth. It was a little strange though to think about how Earth had been during the time Ronixis had spent in Roak's past.

2002. That seemed like an almost impossibly long time ago really. If he hadn't had experience with the Time Gate and now here, he would have just dismissed it as a joke or true insanity, but he had no reason to doubt Daniel. "It's difficult to even imagine Earth at that time," he admitted. "It seems like such a long time ago."
