here Now, if Teisel were a sixties-numbered room, where would he be? It shouldn't be too far away. He only had two directions to go in from here. Farther down the hall were women's rooms, if he remembered the nameplates right. The rooms were probably arranged in a grid, so...

Not only his head hurt -- everything ached. Turning around, going back to his room, and lying back down was way the hell too tempting. What the fuck -- that just wasn't the kind of guy he was. Sangamon Taylor, GEE International, didn't roll over and take it from anyone or anything. Not the government, not John Q. A headache wasn't going to stop him. It was just part of how this place screwed with you -- no pharmaceutical remedies for normal things, even when major injuries were evidently healed in impossibly short spans. Fuck, what he wouldn't give for some aspirin. Oh well.

Trying to place what he'd seen on the map with the actual places, Bruce paused briefly after entering this new hall. If he remembered correctly, a left turn would bring him to the Recreational Field; a right, to the main hallway.
Tonight, his destination was neither. He moved on.

It was remarkably silent in these halls. Most patients were usually up and about during the night, but Scar failed to notice anyone around. Possibly, he was a bit on the early side...
