Nightshift 21: M11-M20 Hallway

After a fairly uneventful day, Mal decided (once he'd eaten some of his dinner) to take a nap before night officially started. He was a light sleeper and knew that the intercom would wake him up. He probably should have gotten rest during one of the boring shifts (and it would have helped to get his mind off of the way this institute was ordering

Naoe still hadn't eaten any of their food. Instead he spent the time between day and night meditating. He wanted to focus as much of his energy as possible before he had to face the monsters that everyone spoke about. He frowned very slightly when the Head Doctor broke him out of his trance (mostly because he had been listening to for something that would signal the end of the day. That would seem to be what he had been waiting for

Naoe watched the two men silently. He had no plans to follow them past out of the hallway. He didn't care about the man they were speaking of, after all. He hung back in the darkness, keeping his attention around them in the darkness. So far, besides the lack of light, the night here wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. At least not yet.

Scar narrowed his eyes, then turned and began to head down the hall.

"Fine." He said, and although he was doing what Dias had hoped for, he didn't seem to be doing it happily. (Then again, when did the Ishbalan do anything happily?) "I'll lead the way."

Scar nearly forgot about the third man in the hallway until he almost walked right past him. He blinked at him, then narrowed his eyes.

"Can you fend for yourself?"

Naoe smiled very slightly, though it was hard to tell in the darkness.

"Of course," he said, not taking offense or sounding arrogant. "I'm sorry to have wasted your time. I hope you both find what you are looking for." He bowed slightly out of politeness then turned to leave the two men alone.
