[from here]When she came to, Callisto found herself sitting in what appeared to be a small set of stands. That didn't last for long, as she was soon on her feet and staring around at her new surroundings

[Reacting to thisHe turned to face Callisto and Goku. Why were they still bickering in a time like this? If anything they should be working together

It wasn't that immediate, he could get better. Probably would. Hey, the wound wasn't hurting as much anymore either; see? He knew it was just a scratch
( ... )
Callisto smiled again. "Guess we'll see which one of you dies quicker then, won't we?" If Sanzo did the noble thing, which he might do despite his usual attitude, then Goku would end up alone anyway. And once again it would be the boy's fault for pulling her back. How interesting this might turn out to be!
The former warlord left the side of the two injured spectators and returned to the balcony, watching the two men below with the look of someone hoping for a good spectacle. They were both do-gooders of a sort. Surely one would attack the other soon.
[Responding to the the start of the fightSuddenly Qui-Gon could breathe again, no longer feeling pinned down. The smell of his own burned flesh still filled the stands and he could still feel the point of the phantom lightsaber hovering ominously, ready to drive home again, but for now it seemed to have been stopped. Glancing down, Qui-Gon could see a new hole in his tunic, the edges blackened from the entry point of the blade, and beneath? It was pretty ugly, a perfect circle of his skin cauterized from the invisible lightsaber and still sending off wisps of smoke. It wasn't fatally deep, but it was certainly painful. Trying to sit up alone was a challenge

Callisto spoke around the same time Goku regained his full senses. And his revised opinion? Scratch everything, Callisto was a jerk.
He was highly tempted to show his appreciation for her except right now wasn't the time. The fight had started somewhere around the time he was "preoccupied"(the surprise got him better than anything else, although he definitely was feeling this one better than the first. More than that he was thankful that it wasn't a couple of ribs that'd broke, those were really annoying to deal with) and he felt it was a better use of his energy to focus on that.
Sitting was also a pretty productive use of said energy, 'course that meant Goku had to stand up and lean onto the edge. All the while he was nursing his arm (wincing and grimacing a bit too, holding it tightly hurt both there and his side; this just wasn't his day) and, pointlessly usefully, yelling down at Sanzo.
It would be very interesting to see what the two combatants would do now. Both of them appeared to have had not only their clothing and weapons, but their abilities restored to some degree. Callisto had to give Obi-Wan merit for such quick reflexes, but he was still trying to make peace. She'd figured this whole "jedi" thing he and Qui-Gon were a part of was some do-gooding religious sect.
Oh, but of course fighting was bad. Wouldn't want anyone to get killed. You'd think from the way this group was reacting that they'd never seen a real fight before. Sanzo, at least, was prepared to defend himself.
"You shouldn't distract him," she said offhand to Goku without actually turning her eyes from the fight. "He is fighting for you, after all." The tone in her voice was slightly mocking.
"Having someone wanting to protect another isn't a weakness," Qui-Gon suddenly said to Callisto, voice weary. "It's a strength. And Martin Landel's trying to corrupt that
( ... )
D - did Sanzo just shoot at him!? Seriously, seriously shoot? Goku wanted to yell back at that but Obi-Wan was already making use of the distraction he'd provided. That didn't ease his annoyance (or the urge to sulk) however he was getting more and more concerned for Sanzo's well-being.
What if he'd just cost Sanzo his life? Goku didn't know Obi-Wan all too well (it looked like Obi had been being defensive - maybe it was for another reason? What if he'd been watching Sanzo instead of trying to resolve anything?) so he couldn't say either for sure. He'd have to wait and see, something that didn't sit well with him at this point. If only he'd done it before or let Callisto do it Sanzo had the chance! If he were fighting... if it were him
( ... )
Sanzo was proving to be more entertaining than Callisto had thought. Obi-Wan did the noble thing and tried to bargain (so futile, little Jedi), but the monk hadn't stopped, apparently.
The once-goddess had seen many types of powers and abilities in her brief time among the living, but this was one she hadn't seen before and she watched closer than ever. It looked like the fight wasn't going to be over so quickly after all. Excellent..
"Such a caring friend," she said with a smile. The shot in Goku's direction hadn't been missed.
Goku'd seen that move enough times to remember it (he might've even been able to do the chant - er, not that he would. Hearing Sanzo say it sounded better. Probably wouldn't work anyway). Part of him was excited for it, the other part... not so much. The sutra was something Sanzo only used in bad situations or when Hazel provoked him and if he was pulling it out now he was in trouble
( ... )
The fight was certainly going strong now, thought that bit of faltering seemed to have cost poor Qui-Gon. Martin Landel might not have been a god as far as the gods she knew went, but he had to be something of this world's equivalent. This made the most sense to her.
As exciting as this fight was, however, she was getting antsy. Was that all she could do? Stay up here and watch? The situation was causing her to both respect and be pissed off with the man in charge. She didn't want to be just a spectator. There was so much more she could offer.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, she leaned further over the railing. "Will you two just kill each other already??" she yelled down.
Qui-Gon was fairly sure he was probably dying, but between his increasing Force perception, Sanzo's blinding bursts of energy and Callisto's calls for blood, he was feeling almost too disoriented to get lost in the fact he had a gaping lightsaber wound re-opening itself.
His eyes closed, Qui-Gon used the only sense that didn't seem to be failing him. He could pinpoint Callisto and Goku in the stands with him, sense Goku's own wounds, sense his concern, sense Callisto's own little dark swirls and impatience. Martin Landel - or, to be correct, his lack of aura, his void tinged on the outside with evil. Sanzo, glowing, too bright and all over the place, making it difficult to pinpoint exactly where he stood, pure light in the Force pulsing and fluctuating
( ... )
Callisto was unable to help a childish laugh as Sanzo fell. How fortunate! She'd liked him the least anyway. Him and that kid next to her. And she certainly couldn't be blamed for this. No, no. They had no one to blame but themselves. She was merely along to be a spectator at this point.
The mention of their prize caused her smile to fall away, however. While she was pleased that they'd been granted access to a new area of the building, not being able to bring along others meant that she would have to work with this group again or go alone.
Well, then she'd just have to go solo. She could take care of herself as long as she could get a hold of a proper weapon.
