[From hereQui-Gon stopped before the Sun Room doors to access the situation. Last time there had been guards in the Sun Room, no doubt to prevent patients from making it to the basement. He would have to be careful. Qui-Gon was competent with his knife but it was no lightsaber. There was a good chance he would have to make a break for it instead of ( Read more... )

Upon reaching the currently empty area before the Sun Room, Momo clicked her flashlight off. Someone had already moved on into the nearby and typically dangerous room, but she did not concern herself with that. She moved to the adjacent wall on the opposite side of the hallway, away from the Sun Room, and put her back to the wall, sword held down at her side and thus out of immediate sight of anyone coming from the patients' blocks.

She had no plans to ambush the petulant Noah when she showed, but there was more to concern herself with than her. At least until she arrived. Momo did not wish to be detected by the others that may pass this way and definitely not any monsters that may be roaming. Thankfully, if she stayed still with her flashlight off, her small stature and black uniform allowed her to blend very well into the darkness.

Now, all she had to do was wait. This would be settled.

[from NOWHERE because this is her last thread and I don't care to thread her out of her room, deal with it! DX]

So the little girl wanted to settle things? Poor thing was getting in over her head. Even without most of her powers Rhode was still a fairly hard target for her size and acrobatic abilities. Also, with this girl she didn't feel any desire to simply toy. She'd gone too far and was going to pay for it.

No ambush came from Rhode either as she strode into the area, fully clad in her usual attire, and stopped just a ways off from the girl on the wall. A grin shown on her darkened face while her eyes shown with a deadly golden gleam. "You wanted to play, 'shinigami'?" she hummed softly, tilting her head ever so slightly.

The Noah looked different at night with those eyes and the row of crosses on her forehead, but that didn't effect Momo at all. It just helped confirm that this girl was not human. She harrowed her eyes a little as she pulled the girl's spirit threads into focus for a brief second to confirm that yes, she wasn't human. She couldn't tell what the girl was, really, so she drew the conclusion that this pattern was simply that of whatever the 'Noah' were.

Stepping out from the wall, the shinigami turned and fixed Rhode with an unyielding look, her katana moved to the side so it caught the ambient light about them and reflected it back. "I don't play around, Noah," she replied in a cold voice. "You've promised me death, child. Are you even capable of carrying through? I am death."

Rhode too knew that the person across from her wasn't human and that she felt just like those she'd met that first night - the one with the orange hair and the other woman. Allen hung around with these kinds of creatures. Maybe killing one of his "friends" would be a good wake up call for him then, to know that he had no place in threatening her, a Noah, no matter what this place was.

"You're death?" Rhode asked simply, letting just a bit of disbelief trickle into her voice. The girl obviously believed it, but that did not mean that Rhode had to. This girl knew nothing of death. "Sounds like you're playing to me, to say that so easily. I bet you're one of the ones who's supposed to be here, aren't you? You poor thing..." Rhode spoke as though she were talking to an abused puppy.

[ Moved. ]

SliiiiiiiiiideAlthough he didn't actually smell Sanzo down this hall or the next, the fact that it was near-empty led him to another one: Q.G.'s. He didn't know it enough to find him in a crowd, someplace like this though - a place that didn't have many people passing through it? Well, that he could handle pretty easily ( ... )

Sanzo grabbed Callisto's wrist before she could nab the cigarette from his lips, grip tightening on it before he roughly shoved her hand away. Great, just what they needed. Someone with loose fingers, and zero sense of personal boundaries.

"I don't care if you're with us or not for tonight, keep your hands to yourself," the monk gritted out. "Are you dense? It's a cigare--"

Sanzo didn't get farther than that. A blur that was suspiciously Goku shaped went right past them and into the next room. Son of a bitch. The dumbass was charging ahead, unarmed, right towards the Sun Room.

"You fucking moron, get your ass back here!"

"With you?" Callisto growled. She jerked her hand away about the same moment he shoved it. Then she held up the gaudy sword with its dull blade pointing to the ground. "I'm the one with the item. You were just dead weight last time and are only still with us because Qui-Gon seems to believe it's fair. Show some--"

But now his attention was elsewhere. Who was he yelling at, anyway? That kid?

She didn't like the looks of that at all.

So far, it appeared there weren't any disturbances down this hallway, and Obi-Wan couldn't say he wasn't grateful for that. It was likely he'd made it out early enough to avoid anything too unsavory. But even so, it would be wise to spend as little time in one place as possible. Lips faintly pursed, his passed his flashlight over to the entrance of the sun room...

And he saw the back of a familiar figure slip inside. Were his eyes playing tricks on him, or was that a traditional Jedi tunic? Surely not.

Obi-Wan didn't spend anymore time dwelling on that, and he followed his friend into the sun room.

It was fairly empty when she moved into the next hall. This was too much like the haunted houses and Kagura hated them enough when she was in a group, but alone was even worse! It was so hard to be brave when she was all alone.

Bridget came around the corner, eyes widening when he caught a glimpse of the person he'd just been thinking about. Careful to not startle her, he moved up and smiled.

"Miss Sohma?"

"Oh-!" she let out a quiet squeak when she saw her friend. She hadn't expected to see him, but she certainly wouldn't deny that she was glad for the company.

"Bridget-kun!" she smiled, "Ah- um... did... did you want to go together tonight? Unless you already made plans, that's ok too."

"I didn't have any plans," he said with a smile. "So, as long as you don't mind, I'd be happy to join you. Going anywhere in particular?"

This hallway was more familiar, Wally could just make out the door to the entry room where he'd met Kal last night. He still had a bruise to prove that too. He played his flashlight beam around the walls as he waited for Tony. "See anything?"

"No," Tony admitted. He squinted down the hallway, eyes drinking in what little light they could. He couldn't help but curse the flashlights for being so ineffective at illuminating the hall, and for the jumping shadows that kept trying to snag his attention. He glanced back over his shoulder into the stretch of dark corridor that lay behind them, and shrugged. He was relatively certain he hadn't spotted anything resembling a stairwell either in the sun room the day before or on the way out that morning, which left either backtracking or heading further down the hall. "Let's keep going," he decided. "There has to be something down here."

Wally sighed. "Hopefully it's not something with big teeth and claws," he muttered. All this walking around was beginning to set him on edge. He was used to really moving, not having to make himself slow down at every waking moment. He hadn't realised it before now, but he'd been kind of looking forward to the opportunity to cut loose with a little speed at night. But that didn't really work out so well last time, did it? he reminded himself. Unless his powers had magically come back to full strength, he was going to have to get used to taking things slowly pretty much all the time.

Well, slowly for him anyway, but that didn't mean he really had to walk everywhere... He grinned and picked up his pace, jogging past Tony and into the next section of hallway. "Come on already, I wanna find something before I get old."
