Planning things had never been Goku's strong suit, which showed today. Nothing'd gone the way he wanted to, especially the things involving Sanzo. What was he supposed to think about their not-really conversation earlier about Homura? He never ended up getting the answers he wanted and never resolved anything in his head ( ... )

There were things he'd like to have, of course -- his utility belt, or his lightsaber, just to name a couple. But those were long gone, likely locked away deep within the Institute, if they hadn't been disposed of altogether.
But now wasn't the time to speculate on those sorts of things. Qui-Gon had wanted to further investigate the basement, and it was Obi-Wan's responsibility to follow through on their agreement.
He slipped through the door and into the hallway.

Then the intercom came back on right before the doors unlocked.
...The thing's message was kinda depressing, really. Of course the nurses were watching them in Doyleton, but to have the whole town being controlled by the Institute? He couldn't let that get him down, though. The doctor wouldn't have anything on both L and Light...Matsuda just needed to get them working together!
Well, looked like it was time to get going. Since he wasn't sedated this time, maybe it'd be easier to get through the hallways quickly. With a wave to Renji, Matsuda was out the door and down the hall, with his flashlight in hand.

Making a mental check list as he did so, he got dressed and armed himself, once more strapping the strange, useless sword onto his back. He thought that it wouldn't be all that difficult to find Lucivar, and he'd be able to tell where Ran was exactly if he spent half a moment trying to find her. They hadn't gotten a damn thing done the previous night; he intended to make up for that now.
He headed for the door, and down the hall.
