Day 21: Breakfast

Jan 11, 2007 10:50

Renji wasn't certain how he'd gotten from the room with Sora and Nowe back to his bed. He scrambled up and quickly checked; everything that he'd tucked into his clothes was still there, including the trauma shears and the start of the map. He quickly hid those things wherever they would fit - and not be too obvious. Hopefully Nowe and Sora had been ( Read more... )

Albel sat up straight the instant he had woke up, eyes wide. He looked around him, and only after he made sure that Triangle-Face wasn't around, he allowed himself to calm down.

So he was back in his room, in one piece, not recalling how he actually got there. Just like the night before. The captain let out a sigh, and noticed how sore he actually felt. He also had a headache, and his shoulder still hurt.

Speaking of which...

It had apparantly been treated and bandaged by someone. The staff? Or the person who had saved him? Albel didn't knew.

Frowning, he finnaly stepped out of his bed the moment the door suddenly opened. A very cheery nurse stepped inside, smiling brightly as some sort of greeting. The captain wasn't particularly interested in getting another sedative dealing with the annoying wench, so he allowed himself to be guided to the cafeteria (but not without glaring at her ( ... )

Albel did notice the redhead snagging a saucage, but chose not to say something about it. How important was a sausage anyway?

"Are you done lecturing me, worm?" Albel rolled his eyes. He didn't need some wench telling him what to do and how he should react. He was perfectly aware that he wasn't the most friendly person around, and he was fine with that. As for people showing concern for him, that was something he wasn't happy with.

"You're the ones who decided to take a seat and talk to me, fools." he added. "So don't go and lecture me about my behaviour when you chose to go and sit here."

"If you don't like it, sit somewhere else."

Zelos completely ignored Albel, as though he was just a small dog yapping away for attention. He'd made sure the kid was okay, and that was all.

"It happened to be the very same Triangle Head that injured Sunshine over here." He jerked his head towards Albel, but still refused to look at him. As for his reward...

He promised Aerith he wouldn't blab about the kiss, but still. He could just tease Yuffie a little bit.

"Maybe she did, maybe she didn't." He winked. "But I did put my life on the line, you know. This perfect body was almost scarred! I need a little comfort."

"Well, geez, I'm not lecturing," Yuffie stuck her tongue out at the person across the table. "Just giving you a handy tip on how to keep people from wanting to smack you when they come in range... Sheesh."

Whatever. If the 'Albel' guy wanted to be an ass, then far be it for her to stop him. And anyway, the wink Zelos had given her was much more interesting...

"Oh really?" the ninja grinned. "What kind of comfort would you be looking for, then? It must have been real scary last night, and all..."

"Hmph, I don't recall asking for your advice." Albel shot back, taking a drink from his juice. Stupid, nagging wench. Perhaps she should consider changing her behaviour if she didn't want to get smacked whenever someone got in range.

The captain wasn't really interested in the rest of the conversation, so he chose to ignore the rest. As long as these two maggots didn't decide to make out in front of his nose, he could live it.

Albel said something, but it was unimportant so all Zelos heard was "Blah blah I have a stick up my ass." Talking to this cutie was more fun, anyway.

"Oh, you don't know?" Zelos teased Yuffie. "I'll be happy to show you tonight..."

"Oh?" Yuffie replied, raising a brow at Zelos. Most women would have pulled out there and slapped the boy, but Yuffie was just having too much fun. And what else was she supposed to do anyway? Talk to Albel? That guy sounded like he could give someone whiplash just by speaking to them...

"You'll have to find me first," Yuffie teased back, crossing her arms over her chest. "And I'm a ninja. I hide well."

Being his usual unsocial self seemed to have finnaly payed off when the two maggots left him alone. And that was about time!

Albel continued to eat his meal, trying to decide what he should do for the comming night. One part of him thought that perhaps he should try and find Fayt, see if the maggot knew something more. But on the other hand, he probably didn't knew more then Cliff did. That'd probably be a waste of time.

The captain was determined to make the comming night more useful then the two previous ones. He was going to need some sort of a weapon, but where could he find one first? He quickly glanced over to the other side of the counter.

Those doors most likely led to a kitchen. A kitchen meant cutlery. And among that cutlery, he probably could try and find some sort of a knife. It was pretty obvious.

Though, he'd have to be prepared for possible monsters waiting for him. An obvious place to find some sort of a weapon meant it probably wasn't going to be easy. He needed to make sure not to let his guard down. Not again.

Zelos liked this place. The girls here were a lot more responsive then he first thought they'd be.

So she was a ninja, huh? He was suddenly reminded of Sheena. "Ninja or not, I'll have no problem finding you."

"Oh really," Yuffie replied, rolling her eyes. Geez, men. They thought it was always so easy, didn't they? "Are you sure? I move pretty quick, and I'm not staying in my room. No way."

The young ninja grinned, giving Zelos a sidelong glance as she tilted her head. "You're gonna have to catch me quick tonight if you want anything from me."
