[F33]Having grown up in a small town in the Heartland of America, Beatrix had learned something of sewing. One, it was possible to go outside the grounds now. But probably not helpful, judging from that man's words. And two, they could "alter brain chemistry" enough to change motivation, or perception, or something. The fact was that they had someone with the ability to implant ideas or memories, or possibly create illusions realistic enough to turn patients against their friends. "You're date's here, Maki," she said in a mildly teasing tone.
She and her roommate hadn't talked much recently, so the Bride was a bit surprised to see this unknown guy show up. She supposed she'd gotten used to Maki spending her nights with Ryuga (at least that's who she assumed the woman was spending time with for once reason or another).
