The whole not-bursting-into-flame thing was still a perk Angel could get used to. He ended up sitting just beneath a tree by a patch of sunlight, hoping maybe he'd go undisturbed just this once. The courtyard was more relaxing during the day, with its distinct lack of hyenas

Another one who knew him. And another time to explain what had happened. Even the thought of it was quickly becoming depressing for the demi-god.
"I've liked them for a long time." What flowers symbolized for him, the times that he thankfully hadn't forgotten. Things would have been so much worse if he had, if so much of his memory was stolen that even Rinrei was no longer a part of it. The demi-god wouldn't at all be himself, not even in this sense. He'd just be a wandering shell, with neither purpose or hope.
"You'll have to forgive me." Homura let out a quiet sigh, knowing there was no point in delaying it. "I was taken last night, for the CM-US trials. They took my memory away." Such a simple way to say it, but still it didn't get any less daunting to do so. "I'm afraid that I don't know who you

Sheena did not like being herded around like a domestic animal - she was Mizuho. On the other hand, she was still trying to process everything Raine said as well as gear herself up for fast approaching meeting with Kratos. She didn't want to talk to him, but she wanted to know what he had to say. It was a weird combination. Sometimes she didn't like the inquisitiveness that came with being an outsider, much less one that had not questioned when questioning should have been done ( ... )

Soubi sat under a tree and began to sketch flowers in his journal. He'd picked this spot due to the unusual fruit that the tree bore. A young woman. And, seeing as women often sought Soubi's attention, he figured she might be an easy target.
"I hope you don't intend to fall asleep up there. It would be a painful fall," he said, conversaionally.

"No need to worry about that; I used to sleep in trees all the time back home," Sheena replied pleasantly. "But you're right; the falling would hurt."
The guardian shifted her position on the branch, stretching out so she was lying on it and dangled an arm down, cushioning her head with the other. At least this place hadn't taken her balance and athleticism along with her pacts. She gazed down at the blonde man.
"I'm Sheena. Do you draw flowers a lot?"

"Weren't there enough beds?" he joked, sweetly, looking up to her and smiling. Oh yeah, he could be polite and friendly when he wanted. He just never really had much reason to be.
"I'm Soubi and, yes, I do. I'm an art student back home. Japan, earth, if that counts for anything." There was a small chuckle in his voice. "I don;t suppose you're familiar with the place?"

As he paced absently along the Courtyard's path, he spotted a familiar figure sitting beneath the shade of one of the trees, and almost unconsciously, his path altered as he moved to join the witch. He'd not seen her since her first day here, and had wondered how she'd fared.
"Lady Lia?" he greeted the Grey-jeweled with, bowing slightly as he stopped in front of her, although keeping a polite distance so as not to alarm her.

"Prince Sadi. It's been..." She trailed off, frowning slightly as her mind caught up to the reality of the time that had passed rather than its strange, stretched aspect. "Not so long, truly. Have you been well?"

A frown was upon Beatrix's face as she found herself in the courtyard. She'd wanted to stay with Hanyuu. The girl's state of mind was tugging horrible at her heart strings and there wasn't much she could do about it. The Bride hated feeling helpless. She wanted more than anything to just sweep the small girl up into a hug, but the nurses came and separated them before she could give the girl the comfort she felt they both needed.
A little out of the way was a tree near a bench, so the ex-assassin sat down underneath it, carefully laying her burnt arm on the grass next to her. Eyes closed, the Bride tried to meditate but her mind would not rest. She needed to teach Mion how to use the knife. She needed to collect metal for her sword. She...
She missed BB. She needed to find her daughter. There was an ache deep inside that only her daughter's presence would assauge. If Beatrix had any tears left, she might have cried then, but she was pretty sure she'd cried them all out in that motel room.

He'd have to not fuck up, he guessed. And keep an eye out for her.
But of course the nurses broke them up and dragged Mason outside. He was still clutching his book, now complete with sappy doodles, but he tucked it back into his waistband the moment he noticed Arlene sitting under a tree.
"Hey, how's it going?" he asked, sitting next to her. Okay, that was a dumb question. It was obviously going like shit. But it'd at least start a conversation.

"Much better now that you're here," she answered in a quiet voice. "Mason... I have a daughter. She's five year old and they took her from me when they captured me. I haven't found any sign of her here. And to top it all off... I have no idea why I'm telling you any of this."

"My handsome chiseled features?" he suggested jokingly.
What should he say to that? "I'm sure you'll find a way to get her back," was all he could think of.
It looked like there was something shiny and/or metal attached to her head, but considering the things Mason had seen on the job, he really wasn't phased. He turned his neck until he was able to press his lips against the side of her head.
Hm. The only way he knew how to cheer someone up was... well... petty crime. "Hey, if it'll make you feel better, we can go vandalize the cafeteria," he offered hopefully.

The sun was shining and it was hot. Wonderful. With a barely repressed sigh, he walked over to a more or less shady spot and lay back on the grass. When the breeze kicked up it wasn't too bad, the former doctor suppposed. A quiet, peaceful day would be nice. Something to get him mind back on track.
(FREE. BOTHER HIM PLEASE! ^^)

With how he'd bothered Ururu that morning (even if it had all worked out in the end), Brook was looking for someone a bit older in hopes that being friendly wouldn't end in the other crying his or her eyes out!
After taking in a deep breath of the fresh air, Brook looked around the Courtyard for someone to brighten the day of. The shady parts of the yard seemed to harbor the more lonesome patients, or that's how Brook saw it when he saw yet another man all by himself. Now that just wouldn't do! How could the beauty of the day be enjoyed by just lying there alone!?
Brook strode over quickly and looked down over the blond man. My, he was almost as skinny as himself! Maybe he'd been a skeleton before coming here too!? The thought of that made Brook laugh in his head and it trickled out of his mouth as he greeted, "Yohohoho, good day to you!"

"Hello. Did you wish to join me?" That was strange as well. Faust wasn't used to people actually wanting to sit and speak with him. Perhaps the man had a question, but who would want to ask him anything?
