The first and only time he’d come to the kitchen, it’d been his first night, and it had started with chocolate cake, too. And ended with fighting off lizards, meeting Sasuke, and being inflicted with Alucard. There weren’t any good memories of this place (if that could seriously be said of any part of the building ( Read more... )

The sight that greeted Naminé should have been the first to warn her that something was wrong. She noticed how... ransacked the room was. Was there a fight? She waved her flashlight around, as if searching through for clues -

And then her flashlight fell upon a body.

The flashlight fell to the ground, Naminé standing shock-still for a second as she tried to process what she saw. It took her a good few seconds for her to compose herself. That was...

"Alita, there's a..." She trailed off, bending down to pick up the flashlight. Alita must have seen it too, right?

The scent of blood and sweat was very familiar to Falis and, upon entering the ktichen, she had been expecting the sight that greeted them. Then Namine dropped the flashlight. While the flight was on the ground, the bounty hunter shut the door most of the way, leaving a gap of a few inches in case a quick escape was needed.

The bounty hunter had indeed seen the body before her friend had dropped the light and she reached around to lightly put her hand over Namine's mouth. She raised a finger of the hand holding her spear to her lips, beckoning the girl to be quiet.

It was a good thing that Alita covered Naminé's mouth, because she would have kept rambling. Naminé had seen people die, yes, but Nobodies didn't leave bodies. This was... what could have done this?

Or maybe it was a 'who'.

Needless to say, Naminé let Alita take control. Hopefully, whatever did this still wasn't around...

Pretty sure that whatever caused the bloody mess was still around, Falis cast her eyes around the room in search of movement, weird shapes or anything that struck her as out of place, pulling Namine back against her in a quick one-armed hug. It was clear from the girl's body language that she probably had never seen an actual corpse before and thus a little comfort wouldn't hurt.

Releasing Namine, Falis clicked the light she had shoved into her waistband on, not bothering to take it out so the light illuminated down her grey pants leg giving her a small area of immediate illumination. Giving Namine a look, she mouthed the word Stay to her and then moved further into the room.

Falis was a bounty hunter; she would do what she did best - analyze and track the scene before her. In the center of the room, she stood still and slowly looked the room over, the only movement being the swaying motion of her long blonde hair.
