The hall was empty when he arrived, which was something of a relief. Last night the hall had gotten fairly crowded with people coming and going and even people trying to keep others out of the Sun Room. He knew there'd been some kind of fight going on in there, so maybe it'd been for the best to involve as few as possible. For now,

This was the main hallway that he remembered from the night before. "Which room was it?" He had just followed that girl and didn't exactly keep up with which room she had wandered into. Guess he'd just have to take a brief look around, or just wait until he saw Peony show up with that "expert" friend of his. Haseo tucked the map away and crossed his arms. Not that he didn't like the idea of having an expert or anything with the group, but it made him feel a little inadequate that they had to drag in some expert to mess with the door in order to open it. He could have figured it out on his own if he had enough time.

And here he was, wasn't he? Oh, poor little Haseo, waiting all alone for Peony to show up with his expert - and now he'd have to put up with crotchety, non-cute Jade, too.
"Haseo!" he greeted the young man, jogging up to him. These old bones could still move! They really could! "Sorry to keep you waiting! I ended up being held up in the hallway by this big lunk. Guys, introduce yourselves. This is Haseo."
He turned back to his friends, smiling at his latest young find. He was sure no one knew why the silver-haired teenager had him so interested recently, but it was probably more than just Haseo's penchant for kicking things. Probably.

Guy looked the stranger over. He appeared to be about Luke's age, though the markings he had on his face gave him an almost exotic look. The hair was worth noting, too. It wasn't that Guy hadn't seen all sorts of hair colors, from green to pink to red, but silver was pretty unique despite all that.
He made sure to greet the other patient promptly, though, never one to forget his manners. "Hello," he said with a brief smile, extending his hand to the younger man. "I'm Guy."

So instead of following his friend's orders he merely smiled over at the latter, studying Haseo in a curious manner while he spoke.
"My my, Peony. I never knew your boundaries reached so far. And here I thought you only liked your ladies young."

And lo, the people and monsters of the institute had been found! Well, some of them at least. Hisoka eyed the doors to the right before shaking his head, he wasn't a hero like Tsuzuki wanted him to be and katana or no, he wasn't about to jump into someone else's battle. Deciding to move before he could change his mind, the boy quickly slipped into the familiar route to the cafeteria.

Ok, it was hard to stay badass after a few hallways of nothing but silence and darkness. He finally made it to the center hallway which seemed to be milling with prisoners at all times. People pairing off to go outside maybe? He should probably put some thought into that himself.
He leaned against a nearby wall and whipped out the map to double check his bearings. He should just keep going and take the first exit. That wasn't hard. Map back in pocket, flashlight pointed at floor, no glowing eyes to be seen...
Ah hell, he'd be fine without a meat shield partner right?

Oh, but he wasn't going to be without one for long, was he?
It was terrible for Alkaid just now, just really terrible without a flashlight. The more steps she took, holding onto the wall, the more annoying this got. She hated having to rely on something to get her around, and she hated getting around in the first place. But what else could she do? She couldn't get out of this place without a little nightshift dirty work.
Somewhere up ahead of her there was a beam pointed at the floor, presumably from someone leaning against the wall; she couldn't really tell. She walked closer, and was planning to walk around the light, when she finally noticed who it was.
Oh.
Immediately, Alkaid crossed her arms. Oh, yeah, just perfect to meet him again in a place like this. "Hey, what are you doing just standing around there? You're getting in my way, you know!"

Unless Alkaid had discovered some kind of jiggle-location technique, he doubted she was going to make it far moving around alone in the dark. Maybe she was meeting company. He'd stick around at least long enough to hear her answer, then it was back to his epic quest.
It was kind of nice to know she was alive. He hoped he'd blinded her good for that.

"Because I dropped my flashlight when that freak attacked me last night! I was gonna go find another one or something, but I just had to run into you." Alkaid sounded totally put off by it. She could do without the comment about her boobs. She liked them.
It wasn't good to see him at all. Even if he was a familiar face. Why hadn't she gotten Haseo's plans for tonight? Geez.
"So what are you doing?! Standing around attracting moss?"

The next hallway was more crowded. Renamon raised her voice a fraction for clarity's sake. "I want to visit the greenhouse. My fighting skills are fine for combat here, but a weapon would be more effective than blunt force at this point, and the greenhouse seemed to have many things that would serve that purpose." Her other agenda was more personal. "If there's time, I also want to look through the file room."
She paused a moment. "I'm attempting to figure certain things out about this place, and if there's information in there..." She paused again. "It might be useful," she finished lamely.

Weapons and information, huh? She could handle that. Hey, maybe she could even find out if Iroh and her other friends were around in the process. "Sounds like a plan," Toph concluded, though the girl could not hold back a confused expression. "By the way, what's a file room?"

She was glad the girl was okay with Renamon's night plans. And she couldn't even fault the girl for her ignorance. A memory arose of an energy drink and a confused fox and an amused girl; a situation that wouldn't make sense to anyone that wasn't there. She held on to that thought as she kept walking. "A file room is..." Oh. Hmm. Well, logically she knew what it was, but she wasn't sure if there was anything special about file rooms other than that. "A room with paper records on the Institute itself and its inhabitants." That was all she had need for anyway.

Omi started to move to the opposite wall from the door to the sun room, more out of instinct than anything, until the sounds coming from the entry room registered with him. He froze in the middle of the hallway, glancing between the two doors.
Well, hopefully the fighting would stay in said rooms. He darted past the doors, pressing himself against the wall on the far side, watching. He'd rather make sure nothing was coming than run and have something at his back.
