Sometimes it felt like the hallways took flipping forever to traverse... yet right at that moment, Xigbar felt he was flying. Going through the endless hallways of The Castle That Never Was had been a pain when he couldn't use the Corridors of Darkness... yet even instantaneous transportation seemed slow compared to the sheer ease that Xigbar had moving right at that moment. Out into the main hallways, then. It was easier to not have to worry about blending in, at least. Another regular person just wandering along, seeking friends or acquaintances, flashlight politely pointed at the floor to avoid blinding anyone.
Vlad doubted many people here actually did qualify as normal, especially considering the confessions from some of the more openly strange sorts about, but it was possible that a few of the patients genuinely were normal humans. Perhaps something like Miss Gray or even like Maddie, very well trained but still not exactly supernatural. He had to idly wonder what, if anything, his good friend Mr. Edgeworth was hiding.
