"H-Hey, pal!" He grit his teeth, stopping the nurse in her tracks by jabbing an accusing finger at her. Things were going too fast for his liking! "Let a guy wake up before you drag him out of bed! I haven't even had breakfast yet!"
"Which is entirely your fault for sleeping in, Mr. Coleman," she shot back, pulling on his arm again when it fell limp in defeat. "This won't do. I won't have you speaking to Maggie like this."

"Good morning, Rodrick. Or would you prefer Dick?" The doctor went to pulling papers from the file she held, attention half on them and half on the cup of coffee on her desk.

Not that it hadn't gotten more weird than that.
"And Maggie's fine. I understand, being here is stressful. And, believe me, I'm trying to make it better however I can." She smiled again and pulled a spare mug from the inside of her desk. "How about I pour you some coffee and you tell me a little about yourself, okay?"
