Nightshift 32: M51-M60 Hallway
The lights went out, and Edgeworth prepared for the excursion at hand. He put on his coat, slipped several fresh scalpels into his left pocket, and put the scalpels for Claude in the right pocket. He tucked his notebook and a pen into the left inner pocket of his coat and took the pillowcases off his bed, folding them neatly and putting them into the right inner pocket.
Edgeworth paused for just a moment, listening to the intercom announcement. What are you playing at, Landel? If I weren't on a mission tonight, I might explore, but the mission comes first. With that, he briefly scanned the first floor map - the layout was fast becoming familiar, but he wanted to be doubly sure of where he would be going.
He took the extra batteries from the desk drawer and put them into the pocket containing the scalpels, took his radio, and took the flashlight.
There. That should do it.
He stepped out into the hallway, keeping an eye out for the person he was supposed to be meeting.
