[ Coming from here.]Daemon turned into the hallway, pausing to make sure there was nothing dangerous quite obviously waiting for them. Then he turned his gaze to the corridor's contents

Lucivar cracked his knuckles and moved close to Daemon, looking at the door knob. "How much attention do you think we'd attract if I attempted to break the door down?" he asked softly. "Is it even worth bothering or will there be weapons hidden behind unlocked doors further on?"
Daemon had already backed away from the first door and shifted close to the second. It was also locked, but this one seemed in worse repair than the first.
"If you can't get that one open, Lucivar, this one should give fairly easily. We might as well try them all."
Lucivar nodded at Daemon before turning to face the door. He took a step back and lifted his foot before slamming it hard on the area just above the door knob, hoping to break the lock. The door didn't budge which made Lucivar frown. He tried once again, kicking the door with all of his strength and yet still the door didn't bend.
"Looks as though this one is locked tight," he grumbled. "Let's give your door a go. With two of us kicking the door in it will stand less of a chance, I'm certain."
There were three others in this hallway, but it seemed they were trying to break into one of the first rooms. That was not where Siegfried was going and the three were not in his way, so he paid them no mind and went past.
It got quieter as Siegfried continued down the dark hallway. It was always possible to hear some sound during the night due to how silent the Institute was before the patients were let out, but it sounded as if all other life was back the way he came. Had no-one else got this far tonight?
Siegfried got his answer when he found that the door at the end of the hall was still locked. After shining the torch at the lock to examine it, he found it was another of the older and more damaged locks. No problem getting the door to open then. Siegfried broke the lock with the handle of the torch and went through the door.
Daemon slipped back out into the hallway with Saetan and Lucivar close behind. He led the way further down the corridor, pausing at one securely locked door before moving on to the next hall.
Mozenrath was annoyed to find that there was another hallway, lined with doors, any of which could contain his gauntlet, Nakago, or another hallway. This was frustrating work. Why was it, when he had worked himself up to possessing a fair amount of power, whatever higher power was at play had taken it upon himself to strip him back to nothing? He still had the wounds and scars of his previous accomplishments, but having to start all over again at zero was wearing on his patience.
Speaking of scars...
"Are you going to lag behind like that all night?" He sneered, looking back at Scar and noting his awkward movements. It was as if the man was unaccustomed to using his legs. 'Probably carried everywhere by servants,' Mozenrath thought to himself. 'couldn't dirty his dainty little feet back home and had others drag his "regal" body around. Feh.'
"And what do you intend to do about it, my dear Mozenrath?" Scar asked. For someone that had to walk on two legs all of a sudden, and was only doing so for three days, the King found that he was actually doing quite well.
"Scar, Scar, Scar," Mozenrath put his hands together, fingertips touching, palms flat. His smile was one of bemusement, though it was clear there was some irritation behind it. "What I intend to do is reclaim what is mine. This, as we have determined, is going to require a bit of time. If your lollygagging gets in the way of this, perhaps it would be in your best interest to pick up the pace." He ended with a sneer, once more rolling his eyes and turning his back to Scar.
Momo paused at the door heading into the experimentation hallway and listened, holding a hand up as a signal for the others to halt. She didn't hear anything, but she did note the door was partially open. Had someone gotten there before them or had it been left open to bait them?
Silently, she gestured to the broken lock and then pointed to Archer and then herself, nodding at Hokuto. Both should be able to interpret the signals indicating herself and the servant would enter first and Hokuto would hold at the door, covering the rear.
She would wait for acknowledgment before they entered the target hallway.
Hokuto nodded; she got it. If something attacked she might not be able to do much more than warn them, but it was still something.
A look at the ceiling so far showed nothing; good, but she was very aware that it wasn't in human nature to look up when scouting for danger. So, how long does it take to develop new instincts?
She couldn't hear anything either, which might be a good sign... or might mean the MU doors were still locked tight, preventing any sound from reaching the hallway. Time to find out.
Finally, they'd reached their destination, and it looked like they weren't the first ones there. Archer gave a slight nod as well and brought up his flashlight. They had traveled under the cover of darkness in the name of stealth, but now there was no longer a need to hide their presence. Chances were that he'd have to put away his flashlight to wield his Noble Phantasms, but at the very least, he wouldn't let his enemies get the drop on his team.
