Naomi straightened up and wiped at her eyes, feeling drained. But in a good way. In a way she hadn't in so long. She leaned back against the door for just a moment

"I was raised to be polite," Naomi muttered, switching back on her light. "We're heading in the direction of the sun room, right?" There was no way she was going to let Ryuga go out there first.
"Hey," Naomi jogged forward, putting a hand on L's shoulder and gently easing him back. "I'll go first." She wished it wasn't just the two of them. It would be easier to keep L in the middle and have him protected from both sides. But at least she could go before him, and clear the way if there was anything dangerous.
Stepping out into the hallway, Naomi moved with a determined pace, making sure not to go too fast to ensure L could keep up with her. She didn't want him falling behind.
