Once again, the doll had yet to eat dinner opposite his roommate, despite seeing the man here and there during the day. Very strange. But as much as he considered it something to investigate, there were other more pressing tasks to focus on, not the least of which was safely meeting up with Ojou tonight.
And as much as he’d like to, Ren knew better than to get pulled in too many directions. The "emergency" announcement coupled with the Head Doctor's later message was curious, but with such limited abilities, his capacity for superhuman multitasking was at an all time low… which was something he didn’t exactly want to get used to. Better to meet up with Ojou first and see what she had to say.
Hughes knew he had to be quick. He had those books for Ed, but he had to be back to meet the team he was leading into the basement. He'd just head over to the other hallway, drop off the books with Ed, and be back. It shouldn't take him too long.
He secured his knives on himself, picked up the books, and slipped out into the hallway.
Gun tucked into his pants and bullets in hand, Hughes made it back to his room before Dias or Ashton showed up and leaned against his doorframe to wait.
Fortunately, Ashton's room wasn't all that far from where they needed to be, so it was only a minute's walk from one room to the other, with little opportunity for anything to attack them. And a man - presumably the Hughes they were meant to meet - was waiting at the door.
"You're Hughes?" Dias inquired, without preamble. It seemed logical enough; he'd seen the man before, usually around the colonel, and that made it all the more likely he was someone involved in Roy's plans. If they'd ever been introduced, however, it had been long enough ago - even a week previous seemed like a lifetime - that Dias had forgotten.
The shorter man appeared soon after; he seemed over-flustered, though he was quickly steeling himself for the task tonight. He had the terrible feeling that they were later than they should be - probably due to his own silly whims, touching Dias when there were things to do - and that they'd really have to hurry. But he pushed all that aside for his own formality: "Aahh, good evening. Please excuse our lateness."
Then Ashton shook his flickering flashlight - it was fast running out of power, and this might be the last night that this pair of 'batteries' would work. Sighing, he ran his fingers through his hair, smoothing out some of the wild shock of sleeping.
Zuko tied his pillowcase to his arm and checked Homura's map one more time before stepping out into the hallway. Besides the note he carried his flashlight and some pens, not his first choice of weapons but at least he'd be traveling light...
He kept his flashlight off as he bolted to the end of the hallway.
Daemon slipped out of his room, a curious expression on his face as his mind puzzled over the fury of the head doctor over the speakers. It sounded as if the young woman who'd replaced the former male on the radio was in danger, and this drew a thoughtful frown to his lips. He hesitated for a moment in the darkness before feeling the nearby pulse of Ebon-Grey, knowing his brother was on the move. He, too, began to walk, heading for the corridor that connected their own.
He'd made no concrete plans for this night, but he was tired of getting nothing accomplished. He would find his brother, and then their father. He was feeling impatient and restless tonight, and the anticipation showed in his hurried pace.
The blaring announcement that came on when night started was a little shocking, but Sora made sure to listen in and was surprised when the area that was mentioned corresponded with where he and Rena had gone last night. It had been somewhere around there, anyway... Hadn't it? He really needed his own map to consult when it came to things like this, but maybe he could double-check when he met up with Kairi
