Haku followed just behind his Master, looking up to the dark floor above them. He didn't say anything, just kept his focus divided between what lay behind them, above them and Zabuza-san's health. He was moving much slower than he should be...
Zabuza paused towards the top of the stairs. "I can hear a fight," he commented. He unstrapped his sword and held it carefully in his hands. So much for avoiding them, but how else would they get where they needed to be? "Let's just get to the pharmacy," he said quietly. "Don't worry about the defeating whatever is up there." It wasn't usually the kind of thing he would say, but right now he wasn't sure he could really hold his own and the last thing he wanted was for Haku to have to protect him again, because he didn't think Haku would value his own life.
The stairs were quiet and dark at the moment. Armand went up a few to wait for TK to follow. Despite the pain it caused his hands, he held onto the rail tightly to keep his footing.
TK pulled his glowrod out of the pocket he'd left it in during the fight, switching it on to see if it still worked. The almost painful ammount of light that suddenly shone from it seemed as much of a 'yes' as he was going to get.
He started up the stairs, keeping the light on what lay ahead of them. His feet hurt like hell, thanks to the burns on them. The slippers had mostly held together on the bottom, but that just meant that rather than getting his soles charred, he had bigger blisters on his feet than a week's worth of marching could ever produce.
"You don't look well," Armand commented softly from just ahead on the stairs. His feet stumbled as he looked back. "Are you certain we should do this?"
"It's nothing," he mostly lied, continuing upwards. "Just some burns on my feet." As long as they stayed out of too much trouble, things would be alright...
