It was almost enough to take his mind off of his worry for her... though nothing could distract him from his angel completely. He didn't say anything.

There were two doors close together at this end of the hall but one had a very good lock on it, from the sound it made when Farfarello rapped his knuckles against it. Probably something good on the other side of it, but not the morgue or the lab--people had made it into those areas before. Maybe another night he could explore this area a little more, but tonight Farfarello had a specific goal in mind.
He kept going.

It was somewhat soothing to be in a place with few people for a change.

Rena had a point, which was all Sora had needed to convince him. Sending her a nod and a smile, he didn't hesitate to rush over to the two men. "Hey!" he called out, hoping to catch their attention. He knew that making a lot of noise could be dangerous, but the hallway seemed pretty quiet.
He was more concerned with what might be in the rooms they were heading for, but he would cross that bridge when he came to it.
"I think we might be going the same way as you guys, so do you wanna team up?" He clasped both hands behind his head casually (and a little sheepishly) and sent the two strangers a grin. Hopefully they were friendly. If not, they could keep going on their own, right?

Those two other patients were further up the hall, and it sounded like they were heading in that direction as well. Sora wondered if they should attempt to join them, but there was always the chance that they didn't want to be bothered.
Sora paused and glanced to Rena, pointing out the two men ahead of them. "Should we just follow them, or try to talk to them? If we're going to the same place, maybe it' better if we work together?" But the two others might think they were trying to steal the stuff they were going after, but there was nothing wrong with sharing, right?
It was a difficult situation, and one Sora hadn't really had to worry about before. Hopefully Rena would have some sort of idea about how to handle it.

Rena returned Sora's glance with a shrug. "It wouldn't hurt to ask, I guess," she replied. "The worst they could do is say no." Right?
As good as it was to be polite, a part of Rena's mind remained doubtful. It wasn't as though they needed permission to take things... No one could honestly claim a prize they had yet to take, at least not in this place.

Rinali walked down the hallway, each step feeling heavier than the one before it. What if there wasn't anything there? What if he really was dead, and Allen had killed him? How could she live with herself?
She moved slower now, but still pressed on. As terrified as she was of the truth, she knew she needed to know.

Tired as he was though, he struggled to stay close. The climb up the stairs had made him a little dizzy and light-headed, but he tried not to show it. Rinali had far too much to fret over already.

It smelled like burning flesh. Someone might be in trouble...

He felt uneasy about heading toward it, but that was his duty, to protect humans. A few had run past here and there, he just hoped none of them had quite as poor of luck as he'd had. "Someone could be hurt..." he offered.

From the glimpse he'd caught of Willow's map earlier, it seemed no one had been able to access the doors lining the hallway and true enough, it didn't even give when he tried to break it down.
He frowned. This couldn't be a good sign. He didn't think he'd ever encountered a regular door he couldn't break through. Until now, apparently. He couldn't tell if it was a spell guarding it or...something else.
"Willow, how's your magic here?"

The witch cast around for a plausible excuse, and settled on the spell she'd accidentally used the night before. The simple one meant to eradicate pain completely, but hadn't. "It's limited too. I think. I did a spell last night, and it didn't do everything it was supposed to." Thank god, she added silently. "There's more doors," she pointed out with a vague wave of her hand. "They can't all be locked."

She continued on down the hallway past them. "Of course if Willow would just cut loose a little and use her magic, we could all get out of here a lot faster!" Anya pointed out, only the tiniest hint of annoyance creeping into her voice. She'd actually gotten herself excited about the research party, and while tromping around in the dark with Angel and Willow wasn't really her idea of good times, it wasn't as bad as it could be. She could be tromping around in the dark with Buffy and Xander ( ... )
