Before she was gone, and he was frowning back at the pipe, like she hadn't moved towards him; like he hadn't been forcing himself to not lean towards the touch. "The pipes were filled with it," he continued with her explanation, sounding almost at awe with it. "That night was different than the rest. The air was thicker - and the moon was red."
And everyone's thoughts had been so confused about it, meaning it wasn't something that had happened before - or at least often enough for the newer patients to know of it.
Edward looked over Harry with a skeptical glance, standing up from his crouch. "Help me kick it off? It worked last time pretty easily."

He also tried to pretend he didn't notice how enthralled Edward seemed with the thought of all the blood that had been in here.
He got up and moved to help Edward. "Yeah," he said when Edward asked for help, thankful he had at least put on his hard slippers. "This would be a lot easier with magic," he half-joked as he got into position to help Edward dislodge one of the pipes.
