Faust frowned down at the food the nurse had piled on his plate. Something about needing to put some meat on his bones, then she'd laughed and he hadn't gotten the joke.

Taking a seat, he kept contemplating the food like it was some kind of strange monster ready to leap up and attack him.

[waiting for Kyon and Akabane :3]

Ginji didn't mind having dinner the in the cafeteria. He liked being around big crowds after all. He thought about trying to stand to walk to the line, but he thought he might as well save that for the night, when there weren't people watching him if he failed.

He piled his meal onto his plate, all too happy with the sight of the food. He really was never going to get used to having so much food every day. Then he sat it in his lap and used the wheelchair, that he was also getting very used to, back to a table to eat.

He politely gave thanks for the meal and then started eating. He had missed breakfast this morning, so the food was even more delicious to him.

Not having breakfast was definitely a mistake, Akabane decided. He hadn't realized just how hungry he was until he entered the cafeteria. Filling his tray, Dr. Jackal looked around for a seat. It was relatively empty, with only a few people present. None of them were familiar- wait. A slow smile spread over his face as he strode over to the table with its sole occupant. Not even being flanked by the two orderlies could ruin his amusement now.

Setting his tray down across from Ginji, Akabane fixed the boy with a most disarming smile.

"My, my, Ginji-kun. I must say what an absolute delight it is to see you here."

There were many ways to describe the feeling that overcame Ginji when he looked up and saw an all too familiar face. His stomach dropped, so that it felt as if it had settled somewhere in his knees. He paused mid-bite so that the fork he had mastered since being here was simply being held in midair while his mouth was wide open. He had wanted to see someone he knew, but not this someone ( ... )

Kyon had been once again ushered out of his room by his nurses. There really was a good reason for him sitting out the last several shifts after he was escorted back to his room from the riot. He didn't want to be around people in the off chance that his ...condition decided to take a turn for the worst. He wasn't going to rick others or himself.

Also, Kyon didn't want to degrade himself in a public shower with god knows what else in there.

That aside, Kyon picked up a light tray and looked for a table to sit at. After a few moments, he spotted Ginji. Oh, he was supposed to meet him yesterday. Crap. Kyon now felt horrible about blowing his friend off.

"Ginji!" Walking quickly over to his table he went to sit down, before he noticed someone else beating him to it. Kyon stopped, realizing they knew each other. Oh, well, Kyon could always make it up to him another time right?

"Ah, sorry for interrupting."

[Free for pestering~]

Dinner was going to be in the cafeteria? That was certainly different, but given what had happened during breakfast, this whole day had been different. And by different she meant odd, especially when compared to the typical Landel's day.

Nevertheless, MOMO gathered her dinner without questioning her nurse about the slight change (the woman on the intercom had given a reason for it, anyway). Honestly, though it was a little strange, it was nice to have things changed around for once. Living by the same basic schedule day in and day out became tiresome after a while.

As she sat at a table, the realian only hoped they were able to return to their rooms before night fell. Not only were her journal and maps there, but she was supposed to meet someone there shortly after nightshift began.

[Care if a Mazoku lord joins you?]

Phibrizzo did not want to deal with the princess again this meal. If anything, he did not want to deal with her ever again. In fact, in a perfect world, she would have been struck dead the moment she opened her mouth to cry his name that morning. But things were not that 'perfect' at the moment and he had the feeling he would be dealing with her for quite some time. At least she wouldn't speak his presence around. He hoped.

He'd have to disappear amongst the other patients and go unnoticed. Even if she saw him, it would give her the impression that he was pulling strings or finding joy out of stringing someone along for his master plans, whatever she supposed those might be. Therefore, he took his food and sidled up to a 'nice' looking soul, playing the age card to its fullest. "Excuse me, miss? May I join you?"

[Not at all!]

Looking up, MOMO offered the boy a bright smile. Even in a place such as this, it was always nice to meet new people. Or maybe it was nice to meet new people, especially in a place like this. Not that she would wish this place on anyone, but it was always good to make new acquaintances. Especially since survival in this place often meant relying on others-- whether that meant the information they provided or otherwise.

Besides, pushing aside thoughts of their surroundings for the moment, the realian always enjoyed meeting someone new.

"Oh, of course!" she replied, still smiling. "My name's MOMO. May I ask yours?"

Phibrizzo smiled politely, taking a seat. "My name is Lei. Lei Magnus."

His shoulder throbbed and he felt in no mood to make conversation. However, he reminded himself that if he was too conspicuous, the princess would single him out again. Curses. Where was Xelloss? Perhaps he could direct her towards him...

[free to bug, since Hermione dropped]

Harry didn't really pay attention to his plate as dinner was served. He was looking around the room, completely distracted by the thoughts of Hermione being here. So far the mess hall wasn't filled very much, but he would have to keep his eyes open to find her. If she really was here... he wasn't sure what he would do. For one, he would be grateful to have his friend with him. Hermione was one of the few people he could really count on. The problem was that he wasn't really okay with the idea of anyone he cared about being in danger.

He moved to sit at a table where he could see the rest of the room, nervously torn between wanting to see her and the hope that the person who had posted on the bulletin board had been incorrect.

[ Attack of the red-heads!]

It wasn't that far from where he and Kairi had been to the person he was hoping was Harry Potter. Renji set his tray down across from the young man and sat. He wasn't all that good with the social niceties; he tended to forget them at times.

"Evening," he said. "I think we've been wanting to meet. I'm Abarai Renji. And this is Kairi." Introductions were always important, after all.

Kairi had been happy to go and speak to someone new, so when Renji had dragged her towards the other table, she went willingly.

Sitting down next to Renji (she suddenly felt bad for being all bandaged up - she was sure she looked frightening to the young man who she sat across from) Kairi flashed the boy her brightest smile. “Hello. I hope we’re not bothering you or anything. It’s just … you were alone and all, so we thought we’d come and say hi!”

She had a feeling Renji wasn’t all that good at small talk introductions, so Kairi was fully willing to start things off with a simple question. “What’s your name?”

Harry looked at Renji and then did a double-take at the girl. She didn't look anything like Ginny but still... red-hair was more comforting to him than it ought to have been. He was a little worried that such a young and pretty girl had gotten so hurt, but he thought it was best not to pry. Everyone seemed to have at least a little bit of bandages around here.

"I'm Harry," he said. He smiled at Renji. "It's nice to finally meet you. And it's nice to meet you Kairi." A small beat. "Have either of you seen a girl with thick brown hair named Hermione?" he asked both of them. He was happy for company but he was also worried about his friend. "Someone told me that she was here, but I've been looking and haven't found her. She's really smart and brave and she's one of my best friends."

[Waiting for Naoya]

Naoto had enjoyed a relatively quiet day, even with all the strangeness and chaos. A shower, a bit of uninterrupted time in the library with a decent book, and now dinner--in the cafeteria instead of in their rooms. Naoya would come in soon enough, and they would likely sit together--yes, Naoto was about as pleased as he could be. He didn't mind his roommate, but he would much rather spend his time with his little brother.

He took the 'vegetarian alternative' to the barbecued meat sandwich, and sat down to one side of the room, watching the door intently for Naoya.

It wasn't usual for Naoya to sleep through the day, he had done it several times before--usually after a painful meeting with even more painful memories. What was odd, though, was that Naoya couldn't think of anything traumatic that happened the day before and-

He was scared. He wanted to see his brother, to make sure he was okay and once again he didn't know why. His brother was always okay whenever Naoya got into these kinds of states, but right now the young man didn't care. He had to see for himself, he couldn't assume that his brother wasn't hurt.

Not when he was just a bundle of nerves.

The walk to the cafeteria had taken longer than it seemed and Naoya found himself wanting to run, as if getting there sooner would fix everything. Yet he managed to, somehow, control himself and eventually his nurse escorted him into the packed room where Naoya looked around worriedly. He wanted to believe he was being paranoid, but he felt like this before and ( ... )

Naoto's face softened as Naoya approached, then the expression of welcome turned into one of worry. Something was wrong...and with Naoya's precognition, it could be anything.

"Naoya?" Naoto stood and moved to meet his brother with a hand on his arm, guiding him to the seats Naoto had picked. "What's wrong?"

Naoto may not have been telepathic or empathic, but he could certainly read his little brother's face.

Naoya let out a relieved sigh as he examined his brother. He was okay, his brother wasn't hurt at all, though he was a little worried... But Naoya could only contribute that to how he, himself, felt. It probably wasn't helping any that Naoya was like an open book.

The young man smiled faintly in hopes to reassure his brother, yet still couldn't completely erase the worry that lingered. "I... I was worried. I woke up and it felt like..." Naoya looked down at the ground before shaking his head. "It just felt like I was running out of time."
