Despite the location and the feeling at the end that she was back in grade school trying to hide her smoking, that attempt at normal with her roommate hadn't gone too bad. That was possibly the closest she'd ever gotten to making normal work, even if it was for such a short period of time. Maybe it was because Maki knew she wasn't normal and thus

The fact that she had indeed missed the fracas in the early morning disturbed her, oh, what she would have given to rain revenge on their captors. Thinking about this as she padded to a shower head on the far side of Arelenesan, and started scrubbing down as quickly as possible. It wasn't that she was squeamish about other women, but the general had enough hair to blanket herself and a whole other person. Washing it was certainly a herculean task.
She needed to think clearly and concisely, perhaps heading to this 'medical' room she'd heard about would be a good option. Anything small she could throw would be a vast improvement over depending upon her magic and her physical prowess. There was also that... bit of glass Arelenesan had loaned her. She'd have to return the filthy thing. Hm.

...the top of the other girl's head. Well, they couldn't all be as tall as the general, she knew. The young woman seemed troubled, judging by the series of expression that rattled across her face when she realized Celes was washing next to her.
"Are you quite all right?" she asked, gathering up more hair into the sudsy mess at the top of her head. Really, this was quite the incentive for a haircut. A shame Cid preferred her hair to be long.

“Oh, uh...” Bella began, her eyes once again turning to look straight ahead at the wall in front of her. Once again she felt insanely self-conscious about herself. Dammit, this was why she hated public showers. “I’m fine. Just thinking about things is all. How are you?”
After a pause, Bella smiled, finally turning her head to look up at the woman as her own hands lifted up to wash the shampoo out of her hair. “I’m Bella.”

Thursday wouldn't have cared if she hadn't been so drugged up; two years in the military desensitized you to some things. As it was, it was merely embarrassing barely being able to stand - not to mention the two orderlies keeping an eye on her from outside.
Right now, her main concern was to wash quickly and get out of here. And possibly find Harry, if she could. It really was too bad her hands didn't seem to be cooperating at all.

She managed a half-smile as she returned to the shampoo. "Yeah. Thanks f'r asking," she returned in the same tone of voice. "Definitely worth 't. I think. You?"

She washed slowly and thoroughly, trying to concentrate. Maybe Matsumoto-san would show up, and she could ask how the other woman had done during the night. She needed to also find Aidou, didn't she?

The girl was just as quiet as she was, it was a nice change from all the boys and Lust.

"I really need to... to talk with the doctors here," she explained. "I'm not supposed to... to be here. I think... there's been some mistake."

Perhaps someone would be willing to explain things to her. There were few women in her age group that she spoke with on a regular basis, but surely someone was at the dining hall.
The former-homunculus stripped easily and stepped into the shower room, glancing about. Her roommate was there, but the girl irritated her to headaches. She stepped up to a faucet and turned it on, letting the hot water soak her hair. Perhaps simply listening in would give her an idea of what had happened.
And who had been involved.

Anya was annoyed that her conversation with her roommate had been cut short when it was just getting interesting. She managed to stuff her newly-acquired map in one of the desk drawers before a nurse came to escort her to the showers. Well, at least they were hygienic here!
The vengeance demon was grateful to be without that horrible smiley face on her chest for a little while, even if it did mean being naked. She stripped down and folded her clothes neatly before making her way over to the showers. She turned the water on hot and let it wash over her for a few moments, trying not to think about all the showers she'd taken with Xander. Stupid stupid Xander!
She turned to the woman next to her - a very tall woman with purple cat eyes, which didn't even register as abnormal to Anya - and made a face.
"So..." She tried to remember how humans made small talk, but could only come up with one thing to say. "How 'bout them Dodgers, eh?"

The only important bit of information was whether or not she had been at breakfast. Lust simply wished to know what had happened, and nothing more.

She squirted some shampoo onto her hand and ran it quickly through her hair. It wasn't very good shampoo - it didn't even have an enticing fruity aroma.

What was sensible was a shower. Finally!
Bathing wasn't too common of an occurrence on the Going Merry, but Nami had always made sure that the ship held enough fresh water for her crew to properly cook and wash themselves. Rain barrels were so very useful!
As she entered the shower room, though, the scent of soap on the air reminded her of the last time she'd been in a communal bathing situation, and the events that had led up to it. And the people - and the princess - behind those events.

Still, the very slight whisper of fear had been playing in the back of her mind this entire time, no matter how hard she tried to push it down. It was probably for the best that she be interrupted from it.
"Natural..?" she repeated to this Misa, admittedly slightly baffled by the question. She decided on giving an ambiguous answer - one that wouldn't demonstrate her ignorance. "It comes from eating mikan," the navigator decided on saying, with a smile and a wink.
"As for my name - Nami," she said, turning the water on a little warmer.

Was a person's hair color 'natural' if it was dyed with organic materials, for that matter? Hmm. There was something to think about...
Adjusting the water again so that it was just the right temperature, Misa nodded at Nami. "You have a really nice name too, Nami!" She smiled, bright and sincere. "Ummm... have you been here long? Can Misa ask you something?"
((ooc: Kat... do you mind back threading with Misa for a bit? >:))
