There was but one thing to do, for a follower of the Way.
"Are you going forth to kill?" The question had no tone of accusation or guilt; rather a mere curiosity, as though asking about the weather or the plans for a flower arrangement.

"I am," she replied, lowering her flashlight so as not to blind the other woman. "I haven't seen you here before."

And saw Lust at the end of the hallway. Haruhi kept her flashlight off for now, following the hall with her hand on the wall.
"Hello," she said, not wanting to be in the way, but not wanting to be accidentally attacked on account of anyone's hightened nerves.

She wasn't surprised, nor was she disoriented in any real way. There were things to be explained, a great many, and there were questions to be answered, even more, but Ling was strong enough that she knew they would all come in time.
For now, she gracefully gestured down the way Lust had been going, a faint breeze breathing through the hallway to accentuate Ling's desire to go. "Nor I, you. But why waste time with idle words? Come, tell me of your conflict as we walk."
