Mason took a few moments to rub his eyes and yawn before waking up fully. He finished off the whiskey, then stuffed Gone With the Wind back into his pants before exiting out into the hallway

Yuuhi sat for a long while, staring at his plate, considering if he should even try to leave this evening. Wasn't it all a dream anyway? But where did reality stop and the dream begin? At least, he reasoned, if he was just going to play with Keman, then he didn't have to worry about any nightmares. They were just going to be good. Just like they would if the nurses were still watching.
The screeching of the intercom jolted him out of his daydream. He only took the flashlight, leaving behind the blood-stained bat. He'd tucked it away in the closet this morning, but he wasn't sure he had the nerve to check and see if it was really there or not. Not after his visitor. He had to get better. He shouldn't play these games...
Heiji looked up when the announcements were made, scowling. So, that was how they were going to play, was it? Well, he wasn't going to just scream and cower in his room. He was going after this place and ripping it out of its foundation. Come hell or high water.
He tied a sweatshirt around his waist and tucked the pipe securely against his hip. Next, he tied the strap of the radio to the sweatshirt sleeve, and pulled his flashlight out from under his pillow. Right, he was set now.
All that was left was to wait for Kaito to come. Damn, he hoped the kid could make it on his own...
Kaito had almost fallen asleep before the announcements. And after that creepy one with all the static, he was in no hurry to try sleeping again. Besides, Heiji would be waiting for him.
He checked the door, finding it unlocked now. He grabbed the flashlight and a couple of pens, and moved outside.
Hattori had said M93. Kaito crept along the hall, shining the flashlight on the numbers on the doors. He was glad to find that he was in the general vicinity.
Ah! There it was! He clicked off the flashlight and waited a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dark.
Knocking on the door once, he announced, "Hattori, I'm coming in!"
"C'mon in," Heiji called, finishing wiping the sweat off of his face after his dinner-long practice session. Ugh, now he felt disgusting. He sure hoped that there would be some kind of shower waiting for him in the morning.
Kaito was the only person he gave his room number to, but if something was going to attack him, he'd be ready. His hand rested lightly on the end of his pipe.
He was not in the mood for cryptic, but he supposed he should enjoy a change of pace, a woman's voice instead of a man's tonight. Women were every bit as terrifying as men, more so in some ways. Particularly when they were out to kill you, as Intercom Lady seemed to be. Well, if she really were a nurse, perhaps she was grumpy from her horrible inhuman shape making it hard to use a communication system's controls.
Wasn't someone throwing a party on this block? Granted, for 'hot chicks.' He'd been surprised to see such a comment receive generally polite responses. Perhaps because it offered payback other than sexual satisfaction? Grunt wouldn't mind the satisfaction--just as a starter, in general--but there wasn't anyone here he felt like 'satisfying' with, and besides, he wasn't exactly a hot chick and therefore not invited. Wouldn't mind the company of one, though.
Or just something to beat on. Or something to beat on him. He glared up and down the dark hallway as though it had offended him, before

Jack had been making good time, though he stopped when he caught sight of Mark. Here was an obviously grown man the size of a child. He wasn't like Wee-man or that guy who used to hang out with Kid Rock ('Whatever happened to that guy?' the Fable wondered), but he was noticably smaller than one his age should be. Unless he had that disease, what was it? The one where they kids grew old fast?
He shone his flashlight over the man, making no attempt to hide that he was looking at him. Nope, didn't look like a kid. A small man it was.
"Huh," Jack said, amused by the notion that this one had been kidnapped.
Mark stayed remarkably still as he was observed, just glaring at Jack with almost physical irritation as the other man gawked. Years ago, he might have shied away, and he might be regressing now, but it wasn't to that state.
As Jack spoke, Mark returned the favor, not hesitating to shine the light back in Jack's eyes a bit. Then asked out loud, "What the hell is wrong with you? Mutant or something?" before Jack had the chance to ask a similar question.
Jack smirked. "Something like that." In his mind, Fable was far about mutant as far as social acceptablity, but the comment still conjured up those X-men and their awesomely bad ass mutant powers. He lowered his flash light, hoping Mark would do the same, but offered up a biting comment in its place. "So, they abduct ya from the Yellow Brick Road, Buddy?"
With his sand-colored cape flaring behind him, Zelgadis made his way to Mason's room. Lucky for him the man was right there, seemingly oblivious to his presence.
It wouldn't really be fair to attack without revealing himself.
Mason, glancing around in search of attractive women, noticed Zelgadis heading in his direction.
"Oh, fuck me," Mason moaned. He had been planning to spend some quality time with the ladies, have a heart-to-fucking-heart with Lyta, and then he'd beat up the whiny teenager.
"You come for another nose-breaking?" Mason called out, hoping the teenager would just leave.
Mason raised an eyebrow. Especially at the cloak flourishing.
"Did you just say, 'yes, yours?'" the reaper demanded unbelievingly. This kid was fucking ridiculous! Clearly, if anyone was going to get their nose broken, it was Zelgadis.
"Come and fucking break it, then," he challenged, right before he swung a fast punch at the side of Zelgadis' face.
With Mason staying asleep for all of dinner and then leaving the moment the door unlocked, Raiden found himself relieved that he didn't have to engage in any pointless conversation. On the other hand, he felt kind of bad for thinking that in the first place, but social interaction could be pretty tiring for him sometimes.
At least he had a plan in mind, which meant that he didn't take long to follow after Mason. With his maps tucked into the hem of his pants and his flashlight held under his arm, he moved out into the hallway.
There were still a few people who were hanging around and talking, but Raiden was wary to just walk up to one of them. He knew that going around on his own wouldn't be a good idea if he was going further than the patient blocks, but the whole making friends thing had never been a skill of his.
[ Stepping out from here.]Tyler slipped out of the unfamiliar room into a long hall which, after flashing his beam up and down either direction, reminded him eerily of some rundown old hospital. Where the hell was he? He was fairly certain this was nowhere on campus. He frowned, the niggling worry that something wasn't right finally overpowering the belief that this was one of Reid's or the others' ideas of a practical joke
( ... )
Honestly, he hadn't expected to be stopped by anyone, so Raiden looked a mix of surprised and curious when he looked the other patient over. He was younger than anyone he had spoken to while here, which unnerved him a little. He was reminded of Emma, and could only hope that this boy was easier to handle than she had been. Granted, thinking that way considering what had happened to her just made his mood worse, but he couldn't really do much about that.
With the questions being asked, this kid had probably just woken up. Raiden had to stop himself from sighing - he wasn't really up for babysitting right now, but he didn't have much of a choice. People had explained everything to him when he had first woken up here, so the least he could do was provide the same help to someone else.
"Did you just wake up?" he asked, figuring he should get that cleared up first. "Because this isn't the sort of place you can just get out of."
An expression of confusion flickered across Tyler's face as he warily eyed the other man. "What do you mean, we can't just get out? Why not? Where is this place?"
It figured the others couldn't have hijacked him to somewhere normal. Even waking up on the ceiling had been less disorienting than this.

"Didn't get that bar you mentioned, but I grabbed some pens and a flashlight," he said, stepping inside. "Hope that'll be enough."
If it wasn't, he could go back to... um... Shoot, what room number had it been? He hadn't looked!

But the fight earlier hadn't been "fair" either.
