After that, most entertaining conversation, William gathered his notebook, a pen and his flashlight before setting off into the dark hall. He had to be quick about this, or else his idiot roommate might end up insisting on tagging along. And William had the idea that Armand didn't have the stomach for science

'Everyone dies in the end.'
Lies.
If death had come to him as it should have, he would not be breathing still. He would not rise to walk the halls with aimless feet that wandered to and fro in listlessness. And he would not have this endless thirst for things that he'd left behind long ago.
Peaceful death only came to those who deserved it. And so it was that Kikyo would wake once more to the darkened chambers of his midnight horror to face the new delights the asylum had to offer.

The chef paused in front of Zoro's door in order to take a nice long drag from his cigarette. He'd probably need it before leading this oaf around. Exhaling, he then pounded just twice on the door, hard. "Oi!" he called out. "Get out here, Marimo! We've got places to go, crewmates to meet."
That over with, he stood and waited the likely two seconds it would take for the swordsman to appear and glare at him.

He’d found his clothes, which was good-- today felt just like one of Grand Line’s storms: good things, bad things, good things again. If Zoro believed in a god he would have placed blame on the bastard-- and took to wearing his haramaki over the grey shirt he already had on. The earrings came next, comfortable and cold, and he slipped on his boots almost as an after thought.
Just in time. Sanji’s voice filtered through the door annoying as ever and Zoro worked to keep a disinterested expression on his face as he exited the room. Why’d Nami have to send the bastard cook anyway? It wasn’t like the kitchen was too hard to find. He wouldn’t have gotten lost. Maybe ( ... )

He needed to figure out how to get the boots from him somehow.
"And yes!" he went on, far more cheerfully. "From my visitor. A man who looked like Gin but called himself Gary. Nice guy, even though he may have been trying to confuse me." It was far too difficult to dislike him after being given his addiction of choice. And he was in too much of a good mood still to do much else besides motion the swordsman to follow after him.
"We're meeting in the kitchen, right? Barring any more ninjas it shouldn't be too difficult."

Now that he noticed the chef's clothes, his thoughts went down the same road as Sanji's did. Maybe he should lend his shoes to the other pirate; not having them wouldn't be much of a handicap for a swordsman and if Sanji's fighting power increased because of it then so much the better for their crew...
"You got a visitor too?" He asked, not sounding particularly surprised but still feeling a little apprehensive inside. His own experience certainly wasn't as pleasant as Sanji's own sounded, though Zoro did take a moment to try and remember who Gin was. If he remembered correctly, he was that weak looking pirate back at the Baratie, the one whose crew had been decimated by Mihawk. Didn't seem like anyone important.
Trying not to look like he actually was following Sanji, Zoro shrugged at the question. "Yeah, I guess. Nami mentioned a colored tile though so we'll have to check it out when we get there ( ... )

Clutching one hand against his temple, he attempted to fight back the weakness within him as his amber eyes rolled over the room. It wasn’t until they stopped on the sight of Ryuga that the memories of this place came rushing back. Ah yes, he was rather trapped in some strange building where the humans lock up their ‘mentally unwell’. ’Typical of those useless fleshbags.’ Snorting softly, he scowled rather deeply at his thoughts.
“I see that you’re still confined to that wheeled chair of yours.” He said instead of muttering what was on his mind.

“Radio? And what in blazes is so special about them that they must be taken?” He irritably asked. Even though he was trapped in this useless bag of flesh it didn’t give this Ryuga the right to give him any sort of advice.
“I apologise - the day has been hardly enjoyable thus far and has made me irritable.” Scowling at his thoughts, he crossed his arms over his chest as he muttered grumpily. “What little I did see of the stars, I found they were not mine. Before too long however, the stars were overshadowed by an ominous red moon. I did not linger outside long enough to discover the reason behind such an event.”

Jack entered the hallway and was delighted to find Kougaiji. So his luck WAS holding out! He seemed oblivious to Kou's obviously tired form. "Kou! I thought you'd be around here! How've ya been?"
As an afterthought, he motioned to the short man who accompanied him. "This little guy is Mark. Have you met?"

"Hello." Mark greeted the man in the room briefly, while looking him over. He didn't look very likely to be easy to enthuse about exploring...

"Uh.." when urged, he moved his attention to the small man trailing after John and shook his head a bit, letting his gaze rest on Mark. "No, we haven't met. Hello, Mark. I'm Kougaiji."
