After all, he made a point of keeping out of the glow of people's flashlights as much as possible--even wearing white over grey, it was more easy than not

Jack noticed that there weren't that many people running around yet, making him wonder if there would be any women at the M98 party along with the booze and cigarettes. Not that it mattered when such things were at stake, but if he could steal some contraband and score in the same night, why wouldn't he?

Still, he decided he'd take a slightly longer route than was necessary, a detour to give the women folk a chance to arrive. He continued on his way, walking towards the back of the institute. Afterall, the backdoor would be slightly less quicker than the front way, wouldn't it?

This was familiar territory. It seemed he would be going this way every night he was in this institute. Right and right again - a straight and simple path. He saw Jack, a face he was getting more used to seeing, but didn't offer so much as a nod as he passed. Sai wasn't one for trivial gestures.

Unfortunately, he seemed to be headed in the same direction as Aidou. But the night was just beginning, it was only to be expected that they'd be stuck together until the halls started to branch off. Allen's portable torchlight bounced along as he hurried down the hall. Hitsugaya's room was on the way, so it'd make things a little quicker if he stopped off for a map first instead of dragging Rinali all the way back 'round again. He definitely wasn't putting off his meeting with her, no, of course not, he told himself.

Soubi wanted to move slowly, avoid seeing Ritsuka so soon. He was wracked with guilt for not protecting the boy and for the boy's lack of trust in him. But he needed to see Ritsuka. He needed to be forgiven and he needed to prove his worth.
