From here.]SOUTH ST. That's what the sign on the street pole said when L.A. and Diva rounded the corner. This area looked a little more empty than the previous streets running perpendicular to the one they'd just been on, which meant they might be on the edge of town

But, Diva decided, she'd follow this boy and see where he led.
Be on the lookout for nurses... why, that was positively funny, because she could hear every individual heartbeat. What did make her wonder, in a vague and reluctant way, how she was being overpowered and jabbed with needles every time she fought one of them. "Ne, you'll fight them for me, won't you?" Although he was young, if he was good to her, she might consider giving him some of her blood, even if Amshel would be displeased.
When they reached South Street, she looked around at the lack of buildings before pointing at one of the only ones. "What's that?"

What's that? said Diva, taking him away from his thoughts. She was pointing at one of the buildings on this street.
"No idea. Want to see?" replied L.A.

The building that had caught her eye was an old, decrepit building: windows and doors boarded up, a sense of abandonment hanging over the place like a pall. More or less, Diva was content, following along at L.A.'s side.
The further they moved down the street, the more a hum began to grow in her throat.

Diva was humming. He didn't recognize the tune, but it sounded very pretty. He smiled at her. "C'mon, let's keep going. I don't think this is the place we want to go so you can sing."
A quick thought brought his hand into his pocket, which came away with a book of coupons he'd been handed when he'd gotten off the bus. He flipped through it briefly before saying, "If these are chain restaurants we'll be able to eat for about a day when we get there. If not, we might be able to exchange these for money."

Glancing up to identify the street, Cloud moved down it. It was one that he had not been down before, and he had meant to see all the streets that he was allowed to at this point. With the possibility of Sephiroth following him around, he knew that he would just have to be more cautious about how visible he made himself. It also meant he needed a better grip on the city layout.
He jammed his hands in his pockets and seemed to trudge his way along. He disliked how Sephiroth was pushing the issue, but he had no want to be sedated. He wanted to conserve his energies for escaping, but the ex-General was really starting to push him. It might start to cause him to want a fight to force Sephiroth to leave him be.
He just needed some peace and quiet. Maybe the more crowded park with the buses would help with that? There had to be more to do, and it had been a nicer park than the Morris one.
