Rhode still had yet to discover the joys that belonged to the flashlight nestled beneath her pillow, but her eyes were so accustomed to the darkness of her own dimensions that the hallways did not bother her. A little light would have been welcome, ( Read more... )

No pause, no hesitation. Hiei knew the corner well enough from his trips during the day to not be concerned, even without his flashlight. It was difficult to see, however, yet another thing to hate about this place.

It wouldn't be much further now. Just around the corner would be the first M block. Ashton's room would be there.

While Clark couldn't always see the other patients moving about, he could certainly hear them. There was a shuffling in the dark sometimes, rustling of clothing, and occasionally the hushed whispers of the other people as they spread out beyond F and M blocks. He had a general idea of what was where, based on what he'd seen during the day, but he had to admit that it was pretty easy to get disoriented and turned around once night fell - and all you had was a flashlight that didn't seem to work very well to light the way.

Clark paused to gain his pairings, looking around. As far as he could tell now, he was alone in this part of the hall.
