No pause, no hesitation. Hiei knew the corner well enough from his trips during the day to not be concerned, even without his flashlight. It was difficult to see, however, yet another thing to hate about this place.

Rangiku kicked off her slippers when she reached the main corridor and picked them up before starting to run near silently along the corridor towards the men's block.

While Clark couldn't always see the other patients moving about, he could certainly hear them. There was a shuffling in the dark sometimes, rustling of clothing, and occasionally the hushed whispers of the other people as they spread out beyond F and M blocks. He had a general idea of what was where, based on what he'd seen during the day, but he had to admit that it was pretty easy to get disoriented and turned around once night fell - and all you had was a flashlight that didn't seem to work very well to light the way.
Clark paused to gain his pairings, looking around. As far as he could tell now, he was alone in this part of the hall.
