Kuja was, in fact, quite surprised to suddenly find himself in bed. An odd turn of events, as he previously remembered investigating the contents of a closet. If the genome hadn't known any better, he would have thought he hadn't even left the room. However, the items he was still holding obviously proved such thoughts untrue; he had left his room

captain jack
He would've continued, but it seemed even his efforts to stay away from the tenth captain and his little girlfriend were to no avail. As she approached he glanced over at the boy, raising an eyebrow. He hadn't learned a thing, had he? Not after Gin's numerous warnings to keep a watch on her. For being a prodigy, the little captain sure had trouble understanding some basic concepts.
Despite what he was certain most of Soul Society thought, he hadn't wanted to hurt the girl. That, along with most everything else, had always been Aizen's decision. Izuru had followed him around just as resolutely, like a frightened puppy, but he hadn't gone so far as to kill the boy ( ... )

"Sounds about right," he said, in answer to Gin's statement. "Days just start running together here... and a lot faster than you'd think." He shrugged. "But hey, it's a vacation. I can't complain. The chow's decent and some of the company is downright grand." Another sparkling grin at Momo.
Hitsugaya's glaring had finally reached such fiery proportions that Jack could about feel it boring holes in his back. He leaned back a little, catching a glance of him with his peripheral vision so he wouldn't do anything so obvious as look directly at the kid.
"If you don't mind me asking," he said to Momo, "who's your little friend, and why does he look like he's about ready to leap up and eat my face?"

"Seems t'be a common opinion," Gin commented. He really didn't care what the boy thought of him and didn't know what Momo thought she was trying to do by bringing it up. If Jack cared either way, he likely would have left last night when he'd asked about Kuchiki. He just didn't appreciate being in the middle of their little lovers' spat.
"Won't argue with y'there," Gin gave a slight shrug of his shoulders.

Jack was getting up and Momo wondered if Hitsugaya would decide to come over and yell at her onc eth ehuman was gone. She didn't know, but it would allow her to ask Gin one of the two questions she had for him without Jack overhearing.
She shook her head and smiled. "Nothing for me. Thank you, though."

Once he was out of earshot, Gin turned his attention back to Momo, his tone still light and friendly despite the change in topic. "Guess I'm a lil' confused 'bout what you think t'accomplish comin' t'see me. Unless it's just t'upset the lil' captain. Why don't you tell me what it is you're thinkin' Vice Captain-chan?"

He did take a slight detour to pass by the table the little white-haired guy was at. Just so he could give him the same flirty wink and smile that he'd given Momo a few minutes before.

She turned her attention back to Gin, her own demeanor still pleasant, though she was focused and no pretending to be effected by Jack's charm, even if some of it had been real.
"I have two questions for you, Ichimaru; one with a short answer and one with a much longer one," she said, dropping the officer honorific and not reacting to the way he'd addressed her. "It seems there is only time for one before Jack returns, so I will ask the one with the shorter answer."
She raised an eyebrow at Gin. "Where's Aizen-sama?"

If Momo thought something as silly as honorifics would rile him, she would have to try much harder. He was a practiced hand at his poker face and it would take more than Momo to break that.
"Now what makes y'so certain I'd know somethin' like that?" Gin asked.
Reply
Especially since Ichimaru had found some way to control her captain... right? Yeah, that had to be it. Aizen-sama wouldn't have done all that on his own. Right? Right?
"Please don't play games with me about this," she continued. "I've had enough of them."

"I don't know where he is," Gin said simply, his smile never leaving his lips, "Though if I had to hazard a guess, I would wager he's in Hueco Mundo right now, havin' himself a good laugh 'bout this whole incident."

"I see," Momo replied quietly. "Thank you."
She opened her mouth to say something more when Hitsugaya's angry voice drew her attention. She looked over just in time to see him and Jack arguing and the 10th captain looked like he was about to pop. Why was he even talking to Jack? And then Hitsugaya punched Jack.
Momo's eyes went wide and then she sighed in extreme frustration as she set her hand flat on the table. "What the hell is he doing?"
She pushed herself up from the table as her eyes narrowed in anger. "This has got to stop. Pardon me," she said and stalked toward the two men hoping she'd get there before the nurse she saw zeroing in on the fight.
((Momo moves here.))

He wasn't surprised then, when Momo decided to leave the table and go after the boy. It left him with a quiet table, which he wasn't going to complain about. Gin chewed on an unfamiliar piece of flat, sweet, round bread. It'd come with a thick, sticky syrup, but he felt it was sweet enough as it was. It was a bit heavy for morning, but he doubted the people at Landel's cared much about his personal preference.
