Again, he openly gaped at the cracked open door after the girl had slammed her body into it. Ah... It seemed... That he was right.... She was a really frightening person at times. He swallowed harshly, and followed her inside, only nodding to her explanation. After a beat, he spoke up. "Ah, Grants-san...? How old are you?"

It was now Tear's turn to be surprised--for multiple reasons, really. For one, she couldn't understand how her age applied to anything. For another, he had revealed one intriguing facet. Regardless, she saw no harm and continued on those points. "I'm sixteen," answered Tear with an incredulous face, "although, as I understand it, the length of time in my world is vastly different from Earth's. I may be older or younger here."
The soldier paused to glance into a nearby box. Nothing of use could be found. "Also, could you explain the speech translation system?" she asked. "I figured there was something to account for differences in languages, but..." But she hadn't known to think there was an actual system.

Neither could she comprehend the speech system. Tear's countenance revealed an additional level of bemusement as she attempted to work out his explanation. "You're correct. I'm hearing my own language." Another box caught her sight, and she made her way to look into its contents. "I actually never knew there was a language called Japanese."
Which moved them onto her next point. This answer wouldn't come easy; the Melodist had long since understood not everyone knew of multiple worlds. She herself was ignorant of the fact. "Yes, you are correct. I'm from a planet called Auldrant."
