Loki already had a vague idea of what to expect once dinner ended, and he was not disappointed. He took his time preparing, not that there was a great deal that was useful in the room. Tonight's dinner had been eaten in silence. Zero didn't care whether the lack of conversation on his part had been awkward for his roommate; there was too much on his mind right now to bother with being social, like the changes of the institute, his conversation with Nigredo, among other things...

Thankfully, some of the once-Reploid's earlier questions were answered by the sinister voice on this evening's intercom broadcast. The traitors mentioned on a previous night by Aguilar (and now confirmed to be from the military's own ranks) were responsible for causing last night's code red, not the rebel Marc or any of the patients themselves. Landel may or may not be exaggerating on 'being asked for assistance', but he most likely was. Then the talk of more changes to come and the claim that last night's events would never repeat themselves again... It wasn't reassuring to hear, but Zero didn't let himself be too bothered. They, the last one especially, sounded more like a challenge to him, one he would be more than happy to accept. We'll ( ... )

Woody really wished the Head Doctor (if he could even be called a doctor) would stop with the creepy mood whiplash. He'd almost forgotten how much he'd hated it, since he'd been more preoccupied with their gun-carrying guards over the past several days. And while he could admit that the food and nurses were a lot more preferable than the pink slop and gruff escorts, at the end of the day Woody felt like he was still comparing getting kicked in the face to dropping something heavy on his foot. The two options might have been different, but they were both still bad, especially when he still hadn't found his body yet.

Either way, it looked like his roommate wasn't shy about going outside. With a stoic attitude like that, he had to wonder if the guy even had any friends. At least he could count on Mack and Jesse saying things to him, even if Woody already knew their conversations weren't exactly going to consist of rainbows and sunshine ( ... )
