Taura pondered the announcement she'd just heard as she jogged down another empty hallway. Who was she? Jill? Who he'd tortured himself, though that could have been an act on her part as well? Whose side had she been on? And what could have happened to her that would be permanent

Ilia hadn't replied to that effort in group conversation, which had been going so well for the first bit. Then, as always, there was someone who couldn't resist the social dynamics of a stable group.

Perhaps it had all been deleted before Ilia had had a chance to see it, though if so, Rose was disappointed. The question was, then, why hadn't Ilia said anything herself?

Ilia sighed when she heard Rose's remarks. She already had made her hesitancy quite clear but she was also determined not to leave the kids without her help. She hurried along, just attempting to keep up with Rose.
