[from here]Aigis moved into the hallway, standing in the middle so as to be easily noticed once the vampire made his way there. She glanced around the hallway in the dark, noticing a few others with flashlights. Without her own she felt a little vulnerable, but she knew these halls well. She had Minato's Evoker with her tonight. She would be fine if a monster attacked. Even with her powers back to normal, as Landel had so mockingly reminded them in his latest announcement, she was confident she would notice any attacker before they quite reached her. Her sensors were not one hundred percent dead

The light from what few flashlights there were failed to touch the vampire as he slipped in through the entrance, soundless. He noticed Aigis right away, standing as she was in the open without a flashlight of her own.
Aidou didn’t really have a penchant for paranoia, but when one knew there was a crusading soul out there that recoiled at the very concept of a vampire, the response was naturally caution. Every vampire child grew up learning the dangers of those who made hunting vampires their life, and although Aigis was no hunter, Landel’s Institute was a special place. He had been made weaker, and more vulnerable to others’ assaults as a consequence.
He didn’t fear what Aigis could do, but he knew what she might try to do, and that was enough to encourage wariness. But at the same time, a part of him hoped she’d cross him somehow, just so he’d have an excuse to… play less nicely

Aigis realized he was very near a few moments before he actually reached her side. Her sensors were still there but barely in operation. However, they kept her from jumping at his sudden presence beside her. She nodded at his dark, shifting figure then motioned for him to move with her.
"Please, let us speak in private," she whispered, keeping her voice down so that only Aidou could hear her murmur. She began to walk back to the further hallway, then stepped into the first door she came to...
Aigis was still a bit drained from her experience with Aidou, but she had an appointment to keep. Struggling along at a brisk pace, she followed the familiar hallways to the designated meeting spot.
Shiina kept the bat held loosely in her left hand, using her right to shine the flashlight around the end of the women's block. She hadn't ever adventured further than her own hallway on her own. Without Shou, she felt a little more anxious than usual.
At least the Code Red hadn't sounded tonight. Maybe they would be safer despite the Head Doctor's claims. Well, she would rather not stand around uselessly to find out. She jogged along to the next hall.
Anise walked at a brisk pace through the hallway, eager to meet with her friends, and hoping she wasn't making them wait. She pointed her flashlight around as she did, trying not to let her guard drop just because something good happened so recently. It'd be bad if a monster attack ruined her night early on.
Ema didn't move quickly, but she moved without hindrance or complication. The only other beings that occupied the halls so far were fellow patients. No monsters. No blood.
It was heartening, and it helped Ema keep last night's trauma out of her mind as she continued, turning down the hallway to her sister's room.
All things considered, Rainbow's speed wasn't bad. Not nearly as fast as she wanted to be, but she wasn't falling flat on her face. At least no one could say she was making a fool out of herself. Speed would come soon enough, she was sure.
Where did she want to go first, though? Did she want to find Doctor Discord somewhere? Just try to get out? Look for secret places where other ponies might be trapped? Rainbow traced her free hand along the wall, making sure she stayed up while her mind was stuck on these questions. Maybe it'll come to me by the time I open this door... she told herself, reaching for the handle.
