[from here]Aigis moved into the hallway, standing in the middle so as to be easily noticed once the vampire made his way there. She glanced around the hallway in the dark, noticing a few others with flashlights. Without her own she felt a little vulnerable, but she knew these halls well. She had Minato's Evoker with her tonight. She would be fine if a monster attacked. Even with her powers back to normal, as Landel had so mockingly reminded them in his latest announcement, she was confident she would notice any attacker before they quite reached her. Her sensors were not one hundred percent dead ( ... )

The light from what few flashlights there were failed to touch the vampire as he slipped in through the entrance, soundless. He noticed Aigis right away, standing as she was in the open without a flashlight of her own.

Aidou didn’t really have a penchant for paranoia, but when one knew there was a crusading soul out there that recoiled at the very concept of a vampire, the response was naturally caution. Every vampire child grew up learning the dangers of those who made hunting vampires their life, and although Aigis was no hunter, Landel’s Institute was a special place. He had been made weaker, and more vulnerable to others’ assaults as a consequence.

He didn’t fear what Aigis could do, but he knew what she might try to do, and that was enough to encourage wariness. But at the same time, a part of him hoped she’d cross him somehow, just so he’d have an excuse to… play less nicely ( ... )

Aigis realized he was very near a few moments before he actually reached her side. Her sensors were still there but barely in operation. However, they kept her from jumping at his sudden presence beside her. She nodded at his dark, shifting figure then motioned for him to move with her.

"Please, let us speak in private," she whispered, keeping her voice down so that only Aidou could hear her murmur. She began to walk back to the further hallway, then stepped into the first door she came to...

Aigis was still a bit drained from her experience with Aidou, but she had an appointment to keep. Struggling along at a brisk pace, she followed the familiar hallways to the designated meeting spot.
