Stifling a yelp she bolted for what she hoped was the cell block's main door. She tried to remember what the outside had looked during the day, but her memory was failing

Rukia paused at the end of the hallway, looking around. No one was in sight, though, so she quickly headed left, toward the first Men's block.

Max led the way out of their hall, knowing Susan was following her. This hall seemed empty as well and she wondered where everyone was. Did most stay in their rooms to avoid the danger that lurked at night? Max couldn't blame them, she supposed. Pausing, she glanced down the hall that led outside, then shook her head. They needed answers before they made a break for it, which meant moving further into the asylum.

As Jean moved further from her room, she heard more noises. Whispers, shuffling of feet, but they were so quiet she couldn't tell if they were real or not. Maybe EVA was right, and she'd gone crazy...
No, she thought, as she touched her erementar gerad. How did this come with me, if I'm crazy? The person she was supposed to meet sounded more informed than she was. Talking with him would straighten things out, she hoped.
She looked around, her flashlight bouncing off empty walls, then turned left as the map told her to do.

She was sure she'd heard footsteps. There were people here. Somehwere.
"Hell~~~~~o?" she said, called out quietly, voice wavering. The pillow was lucky it didn't need to breathe. Had it been a living thing, she'd have crushed it by now and not even noticed.
"Anybody?"

Renji let himself into the F-block, just in time to hear a frightened voice calling out. A female one.
He came a bit closer, so he wouldn't have to be loud. "Quiet," he said. "You don't want attention."

Sheska... made a sound, an awful sound. It was essentially a scream. But there was so much more to it. The fear, the horror, the tears. It was the screech of mouse trapped under a cat's paw. The unwillingness to die quietly.
"Stay back," she whined, flashing her torch in the man's eyes. Her body language did nothing for her. She was clutching onto the pillow for dear life as her knees knocked together and her head tried to fold it's self down, looking for a nice hiding place between her shoulders.
"I'm warning you. I'm a little teapot," she sniffled.

He was now really regretting that he'd stopped.
