Peter left the room thinking very deep thoughts. Most of which entailed speculation on the origins of the pink glow he had just been assaulted by. As much as he hated himself for it, he couldn't help but keep coming back to the Matrix. Maybe they just changed something. Turned the halls into mazes.

[From here.]As Zack left that scene of carnage and entered the next hallway, he couldn't resist the urge to wipe off the bottom of his boots so that he wouldn't continue to track bloody footprints. Not that such a thing would stand out too much in this place, but he didn't need to confuse other patients even further considering what they were already dealing with
