Night 59: M11-M20 Hallway

What in the name of all that was holy and good was going onTolten couldn't begin to imagine what a 'red alert' in this place consisted of, but his instincts kicked in and he leapt to his feet with a frightened expression. He was suddenly very glad he'd eaten his weak dinner, and the greyness that swam behind his eyes didn't drag him back down to ( Read more... )

Weird military terms that gave no clues into what was happening. Shrill sirens, and now... There was really a lot of strange noise coming from outside the door. Weighing the options in his head came up with A) staying inside and barricading the door was probably the smart idea and what could make the night safer, or B) going outside of it and trying to figure out what was going on. He had already changed into his normal clothes and stood, staring at the door intently, flashlight tapping against his thigh.

In the end, Mikado decided to go with the route of what was probably utterly idiotic. And only because he answered one question to himself silently:

What would Kida do?

The same pink layer that had covered everything in the room after the announcement shone on the walls in the hallway, casting the corridor in a dim glow. It had crashed into the room with seemingly little effect on the people inside... or so Edgar thought for the moment. He had grabbed his necessities as quickly as possible, giving Gren a short farewell before heading into the night.

Immediately apparent as he headed through the halls were the sounds of commotion, of fighting. The patient quarters were usually regarded as one of the safer areas of the institute, but whatever event had caused the emergency seemed to have unleashed chaos, as well.

That couldn't bode well for himself, his allies, or his friends. Edgar gave a cursory look for Locke as he headed for the main hall, deciding it'd be best if he made haste to Terra's room. He ignored that discomfort from his chest; the sooner he found her, the better.

Men had needs. Sometimes several needs occurring at the same time.
Funny enough, angels had man-like needs, or at least man-shaped-needs. Or things pretending to be man-shaped which just happened to have man-needs.

The point was: boner.

The answer was: a pocket universe, twins nice enough to give Hugh Hefner a raised flag, and a hell of a lot of cake. That. Might have also be the twins. Let it never be said that archangels didn’t know how to recycle.

Of course Gabriel knew what was happened. For one, he wasn’t a moron. For two, when wings were unchained, it was like an unveiling. Boom. You’re holy again, go out and have fun with the neighbors, kids. Or at least temporarily relieve yourself of sexual frustration once you have the chance. Hey, no lives were on the line right now. Could you blame him? And the closet was just made for a nice little pocket universe. Once that whole pink reinforcement thing had swept through the institute, Gabriel did his thing ( ... )

"Emergency. Emergency. EmmEERrrgencyyy...."

Facilier gave out a strangled yelp as the horrible wailing viciously yanked him out from his deep slumber. The witch doctor practically flailed his way out of the bed covers as his whole world was consumed by nothing but panic, noise and confusion. What was going on?! What time was it? Who was giving out that horrible cry?! What, when, who, WHY?!

"Initiate CODE RED. Initiate CODE RED. Initiate CODE RED."

"--the blazes is this?!" Facilier snarled to himself, his hands itching to grab unto his cane and strike down whatever dangers were present. As the alarms boomed on, Facilier grabbed his pillow and stuffed it over his head and ears, agitated and panicked by the chaos. His eyes darted about the room, desperate to gather hints to explain this sudden bedlam. He was alone with no sign of his roommate, except for the remains of his dinner which sat finished on his desk. Facilier spotted his own plate of gruel, which was untouched and cold. The started doctor's Shadow was awake as well, ( ... )
