Byrne dashed out into the hallway and skidded to a halt, heart racing, panting from the effort. Was it dumb to stop? Would that ghost pursue them out here? He looked back to see if Gren had managed to escape, and then to see if that ghost child might be following them. Thankfully, the latter case didn't seem to be happening yet. Hopefully the ghost would be merciful and stay put where it was. Hopefully.
"What the hell was that?!" he cried, eyes wide. He'd already asked the question before, but he might as well repeat it. He was still in a mild case of shock from the whole incident; of course, it would be another minute or two before he would remember the fact that the ghost had managed to touch him when he'd run past it.
