Night 58: Main Hallway, 2-Center

The usual walls of the Sun Room were absent, replaced with new hallways bordering a railing that overlooked the Sun Room - another area that he had made a point of avoiding after one too many incidents. Daemon kept moving, his flashlight sweeping the darkness. This next corridor wasn't much of a hallway at all, but more of a balcony that overlooked the Sunroom down below.

"Be careful of that," he murmured to Chipp, staying far back from the railing. "We don't want to draw the attention of anything that might be down there just yet. We've bigger fish to catch."

Sticking close to the wall, he moved through the upper hall until they came to the far side and there, finally, the light illuminated the double set of doors that led into the Chapel.

"There," Daemon motioned with his light. "We go through there." Just to be safe, however, he paused to search the area with his light, and then with his senses, probing the shadows. This was all very easy. Possibly too easy. The last thing they needed was to walk unknowingly into a trap.

They might still walk into it knowingly, but at least then he'd be prepared for it...

Daemon was lucky that his warning reached Chipp before the ninja decided to finish walking towards it to look down. It was a cool looking space, if anything, but apparently whatever was down there was going to impede their progress. So Chipp looked away, however reluctantly (what would be down there?) and nodded, looking over at the chapel door. From here, he could see it finally thanks to Daemon's flashlight. Damn, this was really easy. Really easyThough most people were understandably cautious about this sort of thing, Chipp looked far too eager to show if he was worried or not. And from the way he was grinning, it seemed like he wasn't at all. Whatever traps, whatever surprises the enemy was gonna lay for them, it was going to be useless! He hadn't been devoting his whole life to training for no good reason

Daemon hesitated before inclining his head in acknowledgement of the request, motioning at the door with his staff. "If you're better at physical fighting, then please, by all means. Just be careful, alright?" he cautioned softly, already tense and alert just in case they were walking into a trap. "I'll be right behind you."

Now that he had Daemon's blessing, there truly was nothing stopping Chipp. He faced the doors to the chapel with a confident look, slamming his fist into his open palm in anticipation. Whoever was in there had better give him a fight that was worth the trouble it was to get here.

"OTAKU!!!"

With a cry, Chipp barreled his way through the doors...
