It had been a few days since he’d last gone upstairs, hadn’t it? Vino came upon the stairs before he knew it and had to consciously make a decision whether to continue further down this bigger hallway and check out whatever might be there, or go upstairs and finish what he’d started too many days ago.
In the end, he figured he ought to follow through and complete one task before going for another. This was how you got things done, right? If he had time, he would come back down later and look. It was closer to the dorms, anyway.
Vino went up the stairs silently, the pitch-darkness not at all impeding him. There was no flashlight necessary here. In fact, he kind of liked the darkness here. Really set the mood and the adventure, didn’t it?
