Eric. The guy who had been glaring at him across the table all morning. The one who had dragged Matthew away so they could whisper about him in the corner. And to think that all he'd ever done was try to help them. Michael forced out a sigh, finding that he had a whole lot of frustration he didn't know what to do with.
"Any particular reason you want to look up here?" he asked his brother with a practiced frown as they headed up. He'd made no objections, but he had to wonder if Noah knew something he didn't. He'd have to pick out the truth from the insanity, but he was almost getting used to doing that after having to keep it up all day.
