Just last night, Aguilar had been so informative, and tonight, nothing? How disappointing. How suspicious. Perhaps there was merely nothing to say after forcing participation in the drug trials on a selected number of subjects-and how Izaya wished he could have been there to see that little play unfold. His roommate's state in the aftermath was interesting, but not worth staying here all night for. Not when there were so many more humans to see, and the medical wing to finally investigate.
Of course, with the forced trials, there was no guarantee that the drugs would still be available in the infirmary for the voluntary trials... but there was also only one way to find out.
When the doors unlocked, Izaya gave Ryuuzaki a thin smile and a cheerful-sounding "Good night!" as he exited the room, flashlight in one hand and radio tucked under his arm.
