This area was incredibly dark, forcing Zero to actually use the flashlight he'd been holding on to this whole time. Apparently everyone else had already moved through by now. He flicked the flashlight beam around to get a better look of things, finding a desk with all kinds of materials on it. Even dead flowers. What a nice touch.
There was also a bulletin board on the wall; Zero took a moment to read the messy writing on it. Are you a good patient? Patient? Like a hospital patient? ...This area was probably a medical ward, then. If that was the case, then perhaps what the kid had swallowed was some kind of human medicine. What drug turned people into ghosts, though?
Since there was nothing else of interest in this area, Zero moved on to the series of hallways up ahead. Huh. Ever since he walked away from that kid, he's felt more...at ease. And warmer.
