By the time Sechs arrived in the Main Hall, he was slumped over and brooding, an armored soldier lost in a battle-torn wasteland. Did he want to risk wasting the night and his welfare by searching for Alita? There was the second floor he could explore, but so far the only promising door he found was impenetrable. There was the basement as well, but that was one place he would rather investigate with another comrade; he just had a flicker of a memory of Forte saying it was better to go in a group.
And Sechs resented the idea of following the General's suggestion, even if it was unbearably attractive to his battle-obsessed curiosity...
The Replica's stride slowed down to a shuffle. His brain was officially stuck. What was he going to do? He couldn't wander around in circles until the drug regained control of his consciousness and body again...
